First Grow First Question

Plants are about 4 days old from the time I placed them in the peat.
Im curious to know if something looks wrong with the plant...

The smooth leaves are curling but the rugged ones are perfectly straight.
Does that still mean that they are under-watered?

appreciate any help...

thanks :blsmoke:

They look fine to me. By the looks of them, they are loving their environment. If you don't have some air gently blowing across them, you'll need to get a small fan. The air will stress the babies a little, it will strengthen the stems as well, kind of like weight lifting, if you will.

am... in my not all that esteemed opinion- i think they look ok.
as far as i know, the watering issue depends on the temp they're at if the light generates heat, if it's right domn on top of the plants etc...

usually though if you stick your finger in the soil and the top inch or so is moist then they are ok for water
if not then get out the mister and givem a lil spray.

its important at this stage (im told) to keep the lights as close to the plants as possible so as to promote good dense foliage and to stop the plants getting stalky and stretchy and reaching for the light

are they under flouro's ???
i used the boxes that my envirolights came in the raise the seedlings up... ti was just easier than trying to bring the light fixture down to meet them..
*we gotta start thinking 4th dimensionally here marty*

: )

Thats about how far mine get becuase im not good with the whole zinc and ph stuff i just water and give light im not smart in the technacle way accept for cars but im tryin i need any help i can get im using 75 watt household bulbs at 90 to 98 degrees

they def look streched.
how far do u have the lights from the plants and what lights are u using???
in these 1st weeks all u need to do as far as watering goes is just to keep the peat moss moist, the plants look fine, streched but fine...

Yes, unfortunatly I made a big mistake on that part.:-| I had the light way too far and before I relized it they were stretched out. I've placed the light closer now and it seems they are doing better. I'll take new pictures and post them later.

my stretched out babies at 10 days old.

Is there any hope in them since they are stretched so much?

The lights have been CLOSE since I posted the first pictures. The light has been 2 inches from the top of the plants from day 3 to day 10.

Sure there is plent of hope. Atleast they arent falling over. Next time you transplant just plant them a little deeper. They look fine.

yea i have my babies under a 4' floro and the leafs are ALMOST hitting the light. their like 2 weeks old but not tall.
