Looks good, those 5 gallon buckets? How big is that light, it may be time to think about switching to 12/12

I would move that ballast away from the plants they can get pretty hot.

Looking good buddy, best of luck.

I second moving the ballast, you have an issue with those pots and get water on the ballast and you come home to an ash pile.

Im third on moving that ballast besides they look good. Are you using any training on them because they look nice short and bushy?

I though the same but it really doesn't get that hot. I have a fan in there which seems to work well on cooling. It's a 400 MH running 18-6. You think 12 12 would be better at this point? Not sure what training is so I don't think I'm doing that lol. Thanks for the input dudes

Oh and they are in 2 gallon buckets right now, might go bigger if the root system continues to grow like they are

I want to first reiterate the ballast is more of a safety issue than anything, but you are the king of your domain, not I.

Anyway of those strains I only have worked with WW which should stretch a good bit, being that you have a 400W and two others running, yeah 12/12 would be a good idea, in my opinion.

Would it be best to switch to HPS bulb while they start the flowering process?

Yes....HPS for flowering. My first thought was to tell you to go with at least a 3 gal (5 gal is better) pot, but if you're going into flowering your plant's energy will divert from root growth to growing taller and forming buds.

Unless you have a switchable (MH/HPS) ballast, you will need a new ballast, yes. If you do have a switchable ballast, all you gotta do is turn it off, switch bulbs, flip the switch to HPS, and you're good to go.
Now you CAN go all the way through with metal halide, but ideally you want to switch to HPS for the red spectrum and increased luminosity, so it largely depends on how into this growing thing you think you are (because it's unlikely that you're investment in the new lighting system will pay you back in full this cycle) and of course your money situation.

Here is the latest pics. So these girls are in week 6 and seem pretty good. I have them 12-12 since yesterday. I want to make sure they are ready for the flowering stage. Let me know what you guys think, thanks.
