First grow ever (Sour diesel)

My first ever grow. I was so excited to start that I bought a bunch of shit without really researching it, but I do dumb shit sometimes... So fuck it, let's do it.
I got 3 fem sour diesel seeds from seedsman. 5x5x6.5 tent with a gavita 6/750 de light. It's been exactly 3 weeks since I got the seeds and planted them. I was worried about heat with the gavita but my temp tops out at 82 and my humidity is usually between 40 and 50. FFOF soil. I plan to mainline them to keep them low for the gavita. Any feedback is welcome, or if ya wanna just call me an idiot, feel free lol... Anyway, here's some pics...

Looks good!
Carbon filter may help with temps.
Sour D is Sativa Dominant and should be fine in higher temps.
I’m on my 3rd grow and have tried mainlining this time. They say it’s for a more experienced grower...
So far everything looks great!

Looks ace mate keep it up, I’m on my first grow too and it’s all a learning curv and I see to learn more as each week goes by, I’m on day 16 now from seed

Thanks! I got a carbon filter hooked up, but at least it is summer so I know these are the highest temps I will have to deal with. Hopefully when cooler weather comes it will bring my temps down a few degrees.

I'm dealing with the same in my tent. I have a 600 MH bulb but I can only run at 75% power (450w) because on my test run without plants...the temps were hitting 85 and climbing. Since then I have run a separate fan through my hood and another fan for the carbon scrubber. But I haven't tested it at 600w since I made those changes.
My tent is only 3x3 so 450 is probably fine anyway. But come flower time...it'll be a little cooler outside so hopefully I can run the HPS bulb at 600.
Right now...my two plants seem happy vegging under the 450

Thanks! And my plan is basically the same as yours lol. I got it set at 600 right now, and if the heat isn't a problem I plan to crank it up to 750 for flower. Good luck to you too!

Weekly update for anyone interested... I have started the mainlining process. I got them topped and have begun lst to keep them short.

Just checking out your grow. Kinda fat leaves...maybe an indica leaning pheno?
Add in some epsom salts for Mg. Call it intuition...

Thanks for the tip. How much Epsom salts do you use? I have cal-mag. Would that do the same thing? I've been a little scared to add anything yet. I have some nutes too but haven't added anything yet.

Second shot up from the bottom looks like early intra-veinal fading. Maybe not...but ganja has an affinity for Mg. CalMag will give Mg but also Ca. If your Ca protocols are ok...you can still give Mg via epsom salts. Cheap and easily available. I use 1/4 tsp/gal for maintenance. You should use 1/2 tsp/gal and for a full-on deficiency I go with 1 tsp/gal. Dissolve it in warm water...and give some next watering.

Thanks man. I will take all the advice I can get. I got some bagseed going alongside the sour diesel. I accidentally got a couple showing in the pics. (The ones not in smart pots) not sure if that was the one you were speaking of... But I'm not too proud of them lol. I started those like a week or 2 before the sour diesel in some cheap Walmart soil, and I over watered them and stunted their growth. But I kept them around kinda like guinea pigs to practice topping and lst. Good thing too, cuz I broke a branch on one of them lol.

this is the one...see what I'm talking about? It's early and I may be wrong. But I've never seen a ganja plant not liking epsom salts.

Yep, I thought that was the one you were referring to. Yea that was one of the bagseed i planted. I'll definitely give it some Epsom salts. Thanks for taking the time to help me. Much appreciated!

I have yet to have a plant with fat leaves like that...
I am using bag seed as I have 100’s.
I am considering buying seeds, however all these bag seeds are from stuff I smoked...
I’m limited to 5 plant at any one time, and am kind of interested in growing these bag seeds...
maybe I’ll find a gem?
