Hello to all who follow. This is my first grow attempt. I actually for shits and giggles took some dirt seeds from a bag and planted them in soil and bam 8 weeks later they are tall and not budding. But they stay outside. I am here to talk about the good stuff. I ordered four seeds from attitude and was given two free ones.
I started off by planting four seeds in 1.5" rockwool cubes and putting them in a pasting humid seed growing container. I placed them in a dark warm area. I am growing.....pinnaplle express Auto, LSD feminized, Barney's fruit Auto and Barney's sweet tooth Auto.
My set up is in a 3x4x6 grow tent. I have a 6" exhaust fan on the roof and a 6" carbon filter. These are attached by duct. I have an oscillating fan, that is raised a foot off the ground. I have a 10 gallon DWC buckey with four holes cut in it with 3" net pots. I originally had a 4 gallon container that had 4 pots but this looked too small. I am using a 168w led light that is suspended with chains. This light only cost me $150 bux and I'm worried it's a piece of shit but all the reviews of it say it works well. Either way I have ordered four 100w cfl lights to suspend over the four seedlings. The tent is able to maintain a temp of 77 degrees faren. With 52% humidity.
Day 1
Planted seeds in rockwool which I soaked in ph corrected water. 5.5 seemed good to me. I don't have any ph chemicals so I used some muriatic acid that I had at home. I thought this would be too harsh but it seems to work if used correctly. I also don't have a ph tester that goes any lover than 6.5. I have a very fancy ph and tds meter in the mail. In the mean time I guessed at the ph which is close.
Day 3
The pinnaplle express and the sweet tooth have sprouted. They are about a half inch out of the rockwool. I peeked at the fruit seed and it hasn't done anything. I left LSD alone for now.
Day 4
Still nothing from the LSD or fruit. I'm tired of waiting. I peeked at LSD and it has cracked and should be good soon. The fruit hasn't done anything. The sweet tooth and pineapple express are two inches long with four small leaves showing. Time to put into tent. After putting in the pots and filling with the brown little pellets I was pretty excited. I even put the other two cubes that haven't sprouted yet in their pots. After about 2 hours both plants willted completely and I freaked out. I was about to put them back into the humid containers. I figured the change in humidity from 95% to 52% was too much for them plus the light and everything may have freaked them. So I turned off the oscillating fan and the exhaust fan and placed the clear plastic lid I used during germination back ontop of the pots in an attempt to raise their humidity. Within two hour thy were back standing up. Also the leaves were yellow when they popped out of the rockwool. After a few hours under the lights they have turned mostly green now. The temps in the tent got up to 88F so I turned the exhaust fan on and it's steady at 77F now. I'm going to keep a 20/4 light cycle for now.
