First grow (coco, acapulco gold, cabinet grow)

smart pots work great no leaking out the side what so ever instead of roots circling the pot they grow straight into the fabric and root prune them selves when they hit air, causing a extensive mass of roots that just keeps repeating its self,Wow Acapulco gold I remember those days we smoked it allot in the 70's,is it an easy plant to grow, smoking that weed would bring back memories for sure :eyesmoke:

Ok well I feel like the buds are just continuing to swell but this morning noticed as I walked into the room with the tents in it that the room actually noticeably smells like the bud now, I'm not too worried because the smell isn't too weedy if you know what I mean its just kinda fruity so I don't think anybody will be the wiser but still it surprised me. Here are some more photos just for the record really seeing as not much has changed but still I can't wait for the next couple weeks to pass.

Yeah I think I'm going to go for 5 gallon smart pots for flower next run and eventually ill just change over to only have smart pots, it was a pretty easy plant to maintain it was just the length of time it took I'm like 120-130 days in from planting the seeds and I've still got about a month left till harvest. Then again I definitely stunted them a bit back in veg and they've had heat problems to deal with but yeah they made it through! I mean I'm not done yet but I highly (lol) doubt it will all go to shit now.

Get them leaves under control man, fix that clawing and she will thank you in bud quality...once thats done i would up humidity, possibly adjust lights and or temp as well. Shes hurtin

yeah I know man I had some bad planning and bought cheap shitty fans, I've been trying to keep the temps down but its not going so well, I might buy another cheap inline fan for now and put it on the other end of my ducting which will hopefully work until I get some funds for a better fan

In the last couple of days I've been trying to deal with the temps by filling bottles with salt water and freezing it and then putting it in the flowering cabinet and its kept the temps down to about ~28C which might be around like 75F I'm not too sure but yeah its not doing badly it got way more frosty the other day, the buds seem to be swelling a bit but the resin is definitely starting to up its game right now there are just crystals everywhere. Here are some pics.

Well the bud has just been continuing to swell and develop, its starting to smell really nice now I can almost taste the smoke ill be having as soon as I harvest! Its been 60 days since I flipped them now so its around day 53 of flower which gives me about 20 days left or so maybe up to 28 if it takes its time. Here are some photos

so I just went and checked on the plants and I found that there are now no fresh pistils so I'm hoping they will be done in two weeks or so!

Lights are off now but ill post some as soon as the lights are back on, and really you think they should be good within a week? The triches are like 70%cloudy 30% clear id say I haven't seen any real amber yet. But yeah ill update with pictures as soon as I get a chance

So I just harvested 78 days since I flipped to 12/12 haven't really weighed it yet but ill post the weight up later. Here are some pics of the final harvest

Sorry I just remembered to post the wet weight now but yeah it was just under 490g (489.7g I think it was) so hopefully when its dry itll be around 120g Yeah but thats just about exactly what I was hoping for so I'm really happy with it and it smells epic, I've been trying to keep away from it until its cured but when I was trimming it a couple buds fell off the stems and so ive just been drying little bits of it over my toaster and smokin it, and its waaaaaaay better than the shit I was buying before, maybe its just that I'm so happy I finally grew my own but it does still genuinely get me way more stoned than the shit i was paying for. I've set up for next grow now though and I've decided to go with a vertical grow to use more of the space in my closet, its going to be a bitch keeping temps down but I'll be buying a new fan soon and probably get more small oscillating fans. Anyway thanks to everyone who gave me advice through all of this it was a pretty epic journey for me so yeah just thanks really, I appreciate it guys! Ill post the dry weight up in a couple days once its dry and I'll probably put up a thread or something for the plants im putting into flower next with the vertical set up if anyone is interested in watching that.

of course it tastes and smells better. You grew it. I found the same, when you grow it yourself it is just bloody epic. Having your own is nicer too as you don't worry about how much you might use one night but go for the feeling that you want. so much better.
