First grow(closet grow)... 5 weeks flowering. just wanna know if they are doing good?

so this is my little garden on my first grow. there are 3 ice 1 tora bora and 1 white widow. they are all in week five of flowering but for the first 2 weeks i used my 4ft t5 setup cuz i couldnt afford a hps. so they have been under a 1000 watt hps light for the last 3 weeks or so. everything looks good and healthy on them except one which has some fungus gnats which i have used azamax on foliar and in the soil on all plants and tried some vinegar thing that some people said works pretty good. so anyways i just wanna know do they look good or even decent for 5 weeks when you factor in they were under t5s for first 2 weeks. any input or advice would be appreciated. thanks.

Hey yeah they look good! I like ocean forest ok but I really like Pro Mix BX or Sunshine Mix when using Peat, however I am in love with coco! It's the best medium on earth. I like to run 16 under each 600 watter and I use the whole general hydroponics line with Atami Bloombastic and House and Garden Shooting powder. I like to grow 50/50 sativa indica crosses at most, but prefer indica dominant b/c of the yield and appearance of the buds (Rock Hard and covered in trich's). Yours are on the way they still have a while though im guessing from looking. How many harvest have you had or are you new to growing? Do you use clones or seeds?

ya im thinking for my next grow im gonna try some sunshine mix then after that maybe try deep water culture. but this is my first official grow. ive been wanting to grow for a long time but never had the money for any of the equipment and my parents wouldnt let me grow when i was at their house. and i started all from seed and my next grow will be from seed also cuz im gonna try some different strains. my next grow is probably gonna be maybe 2 or 3000 watts tho. then once i clone them i have a system me and a friend came up with to harvest every 4 weeks. hopefully 1 gram per watt or at least .5g per watt. probably gonna do the larger grow with mainly big bud cuz of yield and then probably mazaar and 1 other strain.
 
Yeah aim for .5 per watt but with Mazar I know I at least pull close to 1 per watt. I run clones though and throw 16 under each 600 watter, I like 600's better that 1000's b/c I can run them closer to the canopy without burning which more than makes up for the extra lumens in the 1000 plus 600's are more efficient. I have a piece of advice my friend....For yield you will and i repeat will sacrifice potency, try to split it down the middle, with big bud I don't think you would be happy with the smoke. Just my 2 cents. If you are planning on growing like that you better get good at cloning. A constant supply of clones is more important than equipment in a continual system, Whatever you get this next time buy several of the seeds you want, flower them and take clones of everything marking every clone. After flowering find the one that's special and thats your mom, it may be yield or extra resin but you will find it in a good pack. Im telling you try sunshine mix, then go with coco after your good with everything, the yield is faster than soil and as good as hydro.

all right awesome. but ya the only reason i want big bud is for selling. i wanna find a good medical strain that is good for pain for me and then the rest is basically for selling. but as for the sunshine mix thats probably what im gonna do. i wanted to try deep water culture but i wanna get good with soil and like you said i wanna try coco as well. thanks for all the advice. i will def. post my harvest on here when they are done. and a few updates before then of course.
 
Let me know how it is, I would love to hear from your unbiased personal opinion, Ive heard its just not potent and I would imagine probably not that stinky but if it has good bag appeal and decent resin along with a great yield! Go for it, let me know though. Yeah Im in the last 2 weeks of my harvest and will post some pics of my Cheese, Mazar #2 which is the hash coated bastard, and Warlock pheno 2 which is the best thing ive grown. I already have OG #18 and Sour Kush aka Headband from reserva privada along with warlock #2 in veg. I cant wait!! Sour Kush and OG18 hope its awesome! As far as soil goes go with Pro Mix BX, where im from its only 40$ for a huge bail and it comes with perlite and mychoryze, its really good stuff.

ya i will for sure keep you updated and post lots more pics from the start on my next grow. im really looking forward to seeing some pics of your grow especially that mazar. i might throw some og18 in my next grow too cuz ive heard its a good strain for pain relief. hopefully its true but if not o well. let me know when you post ur pics of the girls. as for the pro mix i think its roughly the same price at the garden supply down the street from me.
 
Im super excited about both the Sour Kush and the OG kush! I got two pheno's of the Sour Kush, One represents the OG kush side of the cross and looks exactly like the OG kush in veg. The other is taller and lankier which im guessing leans towards the Sour Diesel side. Can't wait to test them both out, and to compare the Sour Kush to the OG. Im so excited I think im going to order more OG and Sour Kush beans for future mothers and projects. I can never have to many genetics and they tend to sell out fast, so ill get em while they're hot. I would like to compare Mazar pheno's too.

ya for sure. i think im thinking of trying different strains every single grow until i have tried all. that would take a long time but it would be interesting. idk why my plants colas are not that fat or anything? im hoping they will fatten up the last couple weeks cuz they are not to my expectations right now. what do you think?
 
I think those first 4 weeks were kind of vital, they will still fatten up but it will probably take a lil longer, Are there any signs of nute burn on the tips of the leaves? if no up the aggressive bloom formula slightly until you see this happen then back off a little bit, I read a study saying that a high EC throughout flowering caused added potency and thickens the buds, mine are generally so hard you could nail a nail into the wall with one! I do think they will fatten up, if you can get some atami bloombastic or a P-K spike use it asap, it will induce heavy flowering. Do you have a ppm/EC or TDS meter? Overall will they fatten up yes definitely, but will they be what you want.....honestly probably not, but remember this just because its not the densest doesn't mean it can't still be some sticky stanky dank, use this to work on your nuting schedule and harvesting and curing. The harvest and cure makes and breaks crops everyday, months of time and money can be wasted simply in hours by letting the buds mold. You have to let them dry but not to where the stem snaps, basically just before that. Then jar it up, if you jar it up too early you will lose the good smell your looking for and run the chance of molding.

i dont think there is any nute burn... i just upped the nutrients. i do have a ppm/ec meter i usually keep the ppm around 400 but i went a little higher this time. they do look a little fatter tho i think. and i have it now so my lights are like 9 on 15 off. but ya one plant looks like the leaves are either burnt from the heat or maybe pottasium defic. ? not sure its hard to see it on a pic i took but i will upload some more pics i just took.
 
here are some more pics of the girls. everything seems to be doing really nice except for one plant which is the smallest. some leaves mainly the fan leaves are turning brown and yellow lining on the veins. dont know if its from heat or if its pottasium deficiency? turns the timer to 9 on 15 off hopefully will speed things up. check out the pics.

the first pic is the plant with the leaves lookin all shitty. they are dry they practically break right off. i tried to get as good of a pic as possible.
 
I run mine in aggressive bloom @ at least 1.8-1.9 ec but my warlocks and mazars take 2.1 EC which is at the low end 900-1000 ppm. They literally only barely show signs of burn right on the tips of the leaves. I think you should slowly up the ppm till you get to at least 700-800 but I would go to at least 900ppm just up it a little at a time each watering. I also do not water in between feedings, I feed everytime and if I feel necessary I will flush with water once midway through flower but I find as long as you achieve a good runoff percentage from each pot its not necessary at all. Up that PPM yo your plants will thank you, a little nute burn is a good thing then just back off a little on the nutes. Next feeding up it too around 500-600 ppm and up it by 100 ppm until you get there just to be safe. They are starting to fatten up, well done brother. I want to see those things fucking explode for you, All the mazars and Warlocks in my profile were grown @ these EC levels and they were super fat and juicy.
 
Did you say you changed the light cycle?!!? Don't do it, they can hermie, do not do it!!!!! I am excited about that tora Bora, I love reserva privada. Yeah i think the leaf thing is from lack of nutes......probably P and K. Phosphorous does that I believe. Which pic is the tora bora? I think that is Magnesium deficiency after looking again, I would just give it a lil extra base flower nutes then the rest and a lil extra magical always cures deficiencies.

ok. i will leave the light cycle where it is at. and thats what i was thinking was some kind of deficiency. and im pretty sure the tora bora is the last picture. not 100% on that cuz i labeled the pots with permanent marker and a couple faded really bad so its either the first or the last. but im pretty sure its the last one which has the most resin on it right now.
 
Cool yeah they will turn out awesome they are looking good, excited about a smoke report on tora bora. Yeah leave the light cycle at 12/12 thats as good as its gonna get as far as lights concerned, i did that my first grow after researching it, my reg. seeds were fine with it but a few fem plants went crazy hermi and I mean crazy.

lol ya i will def. let you know how tora bora smokes. but ya i will keep my lights on 12/12.
