First Grow [cheap]

this is my very cheap 1st grow.

Using 6 27w CFLs (2 coolwhite)
A small closet, with Scotts soil as a medium.


Started with 7 plants, 3 died when i transplanted them, I know have 4.

These are the plants at about 6 days(still had 7):

Here they are at 2 weeks and 3 days(have 4):

any advice/suggestions are very welcome.

take the foil off the walls and paint them white, or wrap them in mylar

why is white paint better than foil?

Paint is great. But if your going to use foil make it as smooth as possible, To avoid hot spots.

dont hot spots come from heat? im using CFLs they dont get very hot at all..

i know what hes saying about the white paint, the white paint reflects really good, the walls are white, but its a really dirty white.

I imagine the hot spots Shaman is referring to is caused by parabolas in the foil so the foil acts like a magnifying glass and your plant is the ant.

Try to keep the lights closer i see some stretching. Looking good though.
