Alright, first a little about myself. I've been an avid smoker for several years now, and since day one I've wanted to grow my own. I'm a voracious gardener as it is, and I am one year on my way to a degree in horticulture, so I figure if I can grow tomatoes, sages, penstemon, and all kinds of other plants, then why not cannabis?
So I started with a box, with the following specs:
SIZE: 4' tall x 3.33' wide x 2' deep, primed and painted white, and made completely air and light tight.
VENTILATION: A 50CFM bathroom exhaust fan in one upper corner and a hole for air intake in the opposite corner. There is also a small fan inside the box for air circulation.
LIGHTING: 12, 27w daylight CFL bulbs on a ghetto-rigged vanity fixture of my own design.
SOIL: A high-grade general purpose potting soil with some added perlite.
I brought home from the local cannabis dispensary four clones: one AK-47, one labeled "Purple AK," one labeled "Buddah's Passion," and the last some good ole' GDP. I planted the clone cubes in some small pots and watered them in. I also put an open bowl of water in the center of the plants to try and keep the humidity up. Now I guess all there is to do is to wait.
