So this is my first time growing. Just picked up the clones today. I would love some feedback. Don't be afraid to tell me if something is wrong, I want things to turn out well.
^ just keep them as close as possible to the top of the plants without burning them and thats pretty hard to do with CFL's if its not to hot on the back of your hand then its not to hot for the plants. More light the better so just keep adding more as often as you can. Start mixing in some 3000k range temp CFL's to cover both spectrums plus u will need them for flowering. Other than some stretching looking pretty good.
I have now added even more lights bringing it up to about 190 watts. Everything is looking good except for this little brown spot on one of the upper leaves.
Nothing to worry to bad about, look likes you maybe could have even got some water on the leaf. Water will act like a magnifying glass and can burn spots on leaves. What soil are you using and any nutes?
I don't know what the soil is. Whatever they use at the club where I got my clones. I have some organic soil ready for when I transfer them to bigger pots.
Should I be using nutes already? I thought they were a little too young.
I just redid most of the setup. To fix the heat issues I put the fan right in there blowing cool air over the leaves directly. I took two of the lights out of the main fixture, got myself some reflective lamps and made it a three piece.
I hope you guys can tell whats going on here! I have four daylight bulbs at the top and a combo of a daylight+soft white in each cone fixture.
I am trying to spread the rep around for those who post.
All of the above... it really does act as though the light your feeding it doubles.. the growth rate almost doubled the very first time i tried it (been doing this for years).. The yields increased as well..
Extremely impressed with it, and i think it would be perfect for your cfl grow...
