First Grow - AK 2 Weeks into flowering - Does it all look alright?

Hello,

Been doing a lot of reading on here and its all good, wouldnt mind a couple of old hands giving this girl the once over and perhaps answer a few questions.
So its just one AK, a scruffy little number. There's been some LST performed on it, its growing in peat that is about 30% Worm Castings. Germinated from seed using the paper towel method and vegged it under a 125 watt blue CFL for what seems like forever, really slow compared to everyone else on here, might have vegged for about 8-10 weeks. Its in a very large pot, too large really and suspect that is why its such a slow grower, but hope it will benefit later on. Its now on 12/12 under a 600 HPS and has been for two weeks, used Bio Biz to veg and now Bio Biz Bloom to flower and water it with nutes everyday, now and again miss a day if it looks alright. A lot of leaves have yellowed but it does not appear to be getting any worse and the rest of it is a very healthy looking dark green. Question: Should the yellow leaves be removed or let them dry up totally first?
There are some new green shoots appearing at the bottom, should I let these get on with it, or would pruning them benefit the plant further up? You will see one of the pic's is a PH meter, its cheap and I'm not sure of the quality but it says the soil is quite alkaline, though the plant doesnt seem to mind.

Any good advice is welcome. Thanks in advance, and apologise for the pic quality. This is of course, not my plant.

the plant does mind alkaline soil, it's why you have yellowing, looks quite like zinc def actually, try and get your ph to 6.5. also your plant will grow much faster if you have more light, i suggest an HPS for flowering ;)

Hello, thanks for getting back, it is currently under an 600Watt HPS already, as stated in the original post. Want to try to stick to organic growing if I can, what could be used to get the PH down? Dont think PH Down the product is organic is it? Actually thought the yellowing may have been N deficiency, but yes I expect your right.

Regs,
Mr I.
