First Grow 300 Watt LED Fire OG Kush

Hi Everyone,

This will be my first LED grow, in a strategy grow box from pcgrowbox.com. I will be using a 300 watt LED 1 watt cree from Light House Hydroponics. I am only doing one Fire OG Kush plant in a 5 gallon pot using the Scrog method. I will be using fox farm soil, and i am researching some good Bloom Nutes after the 3rd week. I have purchased a clone from my local medical dispensary, the clone was a week old. My grow panel 45 did not arrive in time, so I have put the clone under my LED light. I would appreciate any advice or tips, but frown upon any "hating" done on my journal. Thanks!

Day 5:

I have been watering my clone every 2 days with a ph balanced water of 6.3. I water half a gallon and let drain. I am using FFOF, so I will not be using nutrients until the end of the third week. I am planning to use all of Fox Farms Nutrients. My clone has grown 2.5 inches since Day 1. I was experimenting with the distance with the light, because the LED does not emitt any heat! I had the LED light only 6 inches away, and I experienced my new growth curling. So I had to raise my light 12 inches above the plant. The curling of the leaves got better the next day. That is all for now.

Day 6

Watered today and had to add more FFOF because of settling. New growth exploding, grew about half an inch over night.

Day 7:

Nothing really new. My bitch is getting a bunch of new grow sites. I see that I have had a few viewers, but no comments :confused:

Im sure as my lil bitch grows up Ill have more viewers and more comments. I am just keeping this journal for myself so I can see the progress of my plant. Have a good one! :leaf:

Day 9:

Light Water on Day 8. Day 9 my lil bitch is looking very green from my LED light. New growth spurting over night. Total height right now is 10 inches. Grew 5 inches in 1 week!

Day 11: Watered with 500 ml water and added Roots Excelulator from House and Garden. Lil Bitch is looking healthy and is beginning to fill up. Total height now is 12 inches. Decided to put up my SCROG screen that I made out of PVC pipes. I set my SCROG screen 13 inches above my 5 gallon pot. Also my nutrients from House and Garden showed up today! Woohoo!

Day 13: My lil girl is not that little anymore. Shes now 13 inches tall and almost touching the SCROG screen. Her stalk is getting pretty thick and new grow sites are popping up over night. In 8 more days I will start feeding her House and Garden Nutrients. Had to move my grow box to my office, because the Grow box is not very light tight, and it is obvious when the light is on. Its weird because my plant is beginning to smell already! I think I am going to buy some more mylar to put over the opening of the door to make it more light tight. Thats it for now :leaf:

Day 14:

Watered today 500 ml with Roots Execulator. Went out and bought a small fan for air circulation. Shes about 14 inches tall now, and about 2 inches from hitting the SCROG screen. :leaf:

Going to start feeding House and Garden next week. Looking healthy and growing. :clap:

Day 15:

I started foliar feeding today with magic green. I hope I didn't burn my plants today! I read on the bottle to use 5-10 ml per liter, I used 4 ml in 500 ml. Then after I read on their forums they changed the dose to 5-10 ml per gallon! I started freaking out and blotted all the magic green off my leaves and shook the feed gently off the leaves. I'm praying when I open my room up tonight there are no nute burns! Crossing my fingers!

Lookin nice, I've messed around a little with a UFO LED. At first I used it to supplement the HPS and seemed fine, then I tried one OG Purp and it was doing fine(about 2 weeks of flowering) until I got anxious and plugged in a HPS and fried it in 2 days, cause My exhaust fan wasn't plugged in(idiot).
I'm gonna give it another try with some Skunk #1 in a wardrobe cabinet I just picked up and modified.

Im pretty happy with my Lighthouse 300w so far! MY plant is very green and healthy, and is growing super fast! I also am pretty impressed with the 357 magnum LED light. I might look into getting that as a second light. Its a pretty good price, and some of the grow journals on here using them are very impressive!

That sucks! Just a good excuse to get rid of all those HPS and get an LED! THis is my first LED grow and I am so happy that there is no Ballast, exhaust fans, low wattage, heat, etc. If you are doing a wardrobe cabinet, an LED light would be great for that! You would probably only need an oscillating fan for air circulation. After 18 hours of light on, I can touch the glass over the light bulbs and it is just warm! Crazy! They say plants absorb 80-90% of the LED light emitted vs. 10% from an HPS light.

Day 15.5: Well just checked on my lil girl to check for any nute burns from the overdosed foliar feeding earlier this morning. So far so good! Either I got lucky or I blotted the foliar feed fast enough before burning. The lil girl is about 1/2 an inch from hitting my SCROG screen, and all the new growth are really thriving. Pretty impressed with the LED light so far. Definitely seems to grow quicker than my previous HPS grows.

Here is mine day flowering under LED. She's about 18" or so. Do you recommend I try screen? Or too late?

Shes looking really healthy! Congrats! Ya you should have SCROGGED them earlier. I set my screen 13" above my pot and start training early. If you were to put a screen up now it would have to be at least 25" tall, and you would have to veg longer until 70-80% of that screen is full. If you tried bending that plant to go under 13" you might break her too badly. Next time though!

Day 18:

Everything moving along just fine. Lil girl is now over the SCROG screen. I am going to wait till the main stem is 3-4 inches above the screen before I move her horizontally to a farther hole. Other than that, just checking to see which areas are realistically going to reach the screen by 4th week Veg. Might have to Veg a little longer to fill up screen at least 70%. I still have 10 days left to figure that out. At the rate that she is growing, it might be possible my screen may fill up by then. Thats it for now!
