Never grown before

Active Member
Hello all

Im starting my new grow today.

I started off with a large mdf wood and cut it down it fit the corner off my room.

it measures 95cm height 63cm depth and 31 width.

I has also placed 4 holes at the bottom one is being used as a intake using a PC fan i also have another PC fan just blowing air around other holes at the back are just left open,

Using 125w CLF lamp its huge

only looking to grow around 2 plants stealth is the key the pc fans are runningnoisey at moment not sure why.

I have also painted inside flat white and used a bit of diamond mylar.

Soil im using will be John Innes number 2 not sure why i picked this just seemed to be only one i thought would help.

Amature i know just looking to grow

Got seeds just not sure best way to start either.

please advise what i can do to improve my setup thanks in advance

what do you need help with?
theres general newb guides on here FOR ABSOLUTE EVERYTHING! look about, you will be a pro in no time!

old seeds should be presoaked in water for 24 hours (i also do with fresh seeds but some people will say this is not needed), then moved to a dinner plate lined with toilet roll anderneath and above (moist not wet).
put another plate on top so they are covered in darkness, keep this warm (say the back of a telly or airing cupboard).
when the seeds crack (tap root down) move them to your chosen medium ie: soil, rockwool, peat pellets, coir cubes ect..

Hi, a fellow countryman ( or woman) :P I watered a few tablespoons worth when the soil felt dry and watered the soil straight away after sowing- got 100% germination rate on 5 seeds within a few days-week. Some of the seedlings keeled over a little so i put a lollipop stick in to support until stronger and could repot further up the stem to compensate. I started off a complete newb to growing and have learnt alot on these forums and through trial and error lol. Feel free to check out my journal- im currently close to harvesting- so if i can do it anyone can lol :D

All 3 seeds germinated one just popped a root see pictures below.

I started with

1 x Big Budda Blue Cheese (Rooted well)
1 x G13 Lab Skunk No1 (Rooted ok)
1 x Wonder Women (Just popped a root)

I have now moved into soil and sprayed a little water over them P.H for soil is 6.5

If i need to do anything else please advise

Thanks:sleep:
