First ever grow - Fridge grow

Hey guys things were looking a bit crappy for a while. I expected the plants to finish in 8 weeks so I began flushing at around week 7. The plants obviously yellowed and browned up but I don't think my plants were ready at 8 weeks. So I gave them a couple of lightish feedings and they responded very well. I also have a small fan inside the fridge that used to be off during lights off however I have now turned that on. It seems to have really brought out way more trichomes. They have really fattened up so I have had to to use some string to support them. They past few days is when the fattening up really took place. I think I will feed once more then water then feed then just straight water for 2-3 feedings and then harvest. This would mean I would harvest after roughly 68 days of flowering. I might only do one more feeding, not sure yet. Anyway enough talking here are some new pics. As you can see the leaves have died quite a bit. I actually cut alot of the conpletely dead leaves off so they look not too bad now.













I was also scared they were turning hermie but I think they are all good now....

Great work dude!! You seem to have a excellent camera. The trichomes are in perfect focus and you can see them clearly. In your case you can use the camera to check when they are ready. Just zoom in as much as possible. When you see the stems of the trichomes turn amber they will be ready. If you want a heavier stoned you wait until the whole trichome turns amber. But chop before the trichome starts to wilt that will give you a very very heavy stoned but not as nice.

Hey thedude. I took the photo with an iPhone and put a 30X jewelers scope infront of the camera lense. Pretty happy with how the pictures turned out and I plan on harvesting as soon as I see a few of the stems turning amber like you say. Probably in 4-5 days from now or so? Maybe a bit longer. Will post new pictures of trichomes soon.

Edit: also if anyone has any experience with mainlining id love to hear it. My next grow I plan to do some mainlining and not sure if I should do 1 or 2 plants. I think 2 would fit but might get a bit crowded

Haha there is a fair few popcorn buds, i think next time I will mainline them to avoid this. Thanks for the good words and do you have any idea when they will be ready for harvest? I watered quite heavily yesterday so I'm thinking of either harvesting tomorrow or doing another flush tomorrow and then harvesting 2 days from then

ur welcome m8, without seeing the trichomes I couldn't really say, if they are 50/50 amber/cloudy as far as I`m aware its good to go. just to put the record straight I wasn't taking the piss when I said pop corn buds, its just that the colas r so fcuking big I jokingly meant and thought that you would have so much ganja, u wouldn't miss the pop corn buds, not that I had seen any. in other words I wasn't dissing ur plant, it is in fact the opposite, I`m hugely impressed and each time I log on and look at ur pics, I like others, I`m sure, think fcuking hell, I was going to to say, fcuk me willy that's awesome, but it just didn't sound good

Also with the trichomes thing I have read that sativa hybrid/dominant plants (which mine is like 50/50 sativa indica) will not show 50/50 clear/amber. The tris appear to be mostly cloudy now and I think the plant just looks ready

hey willy, I have looked up mainlining and it looks great, for me it just seems a lot of work and I feel it is for an outdoor or large indoor grow, but hey if you fancy doing it, then go for it. as for the trics maybe take 1 of those pop corn buds and try or just go with ur gut feeling. oh and I`ve told the postman to make sure he lets ur jiffy bag through . on another note in my grow I have taken a leaf out of mewk`s book and grown the mj as flat as possible, one thing I have noticed is the side branches seem to now be main stems and once I have lst`d them to the other side of the bottle, I should have all main stems growing. well that's the theory. looking forward to ur the smoke report. good luck and happy growing.

Mainlining is quite effective even with small grows I think. And it's not much work, only adds like 10 days veg time at the beginning and that's it apparently

just a thought, with all the waste material u could make some oil. I did it myself years ago, its not difficult. or maybe do ice hash, its safer
