LOL i should have read your comment first.

So i added 10ml on 80l with ph8 and ppm 16 (500scale)
Now i have ph 3.2 and 0.8EC + added 20l RO water
I'm letting the pump run and settle it for now.
Also making new RO water in case it all fails. Damn should have started with 1ml

I guess i will have to clean everything out again ? And start over ?
My tank only needs 50L more , I don't think the RO water will stabilize the ph to 5.5-6.3 right ?
Yeah man. It's like fragile says.. without any buffer in the water only a couple of drops can throw the entire thing. I actually use silica to lift mine if I go too low.

Since i want low ppm's in the beginning and without nutrients. Its better to start over with fresh RO water i think, right ?
And then start with 0.5ml.
Well one thing for sure. The bottle will last long lol.

No you can adjust it back the other way u dont have to start over. You just might add a few ppm to create a buffer.
It gets easier with nutes.

I warned you because I did the exact same thing you did lol.
I got 16oz bottles or some similar size to that.

You mean adjusting it with PH + ?
Because i only have ph down, someone said i shouldn't buy it because 'normally' i wouldn't need it. haha
Or you mean by filling up my reservoir with more RO water ( ph 8)
Or by adding some ppm ? Because i already have the ppm value i wan't to use for them sprouts

Yeah I mean just by adding plus. It's a good idea to have both you dont really know which way it might drift. Just meant that it can bring your ppm up slightly going back and forth.

You will have to deal with this any time you change all of the water. It's easier to control once you get a few hundred ppm of nutrients in there first.
I usually have to use ph down to bring it down from mid 6 with just my main nutrient. With the bud booster I use in flower it settles out to mid 5s and I have to use up.
One way to balance this is to use a nutrient that doesnt leave a bunch of deposits and change your water less often. If you are using beneficial bacteria, it's actually worse to change your water more often early on. It doesnt let the bacteria colonies build up in the system. You should aim to leave it alone for the first 3-4 weeks unless you start seeing root issues.

With what I learned with mega crop on this grow I'll only be changing water 3 times. Half through veg, then they go into a new system when flipped, then I'll change it again after around week 4 when they're done their stretch to adjust N to PK ratios better for budding.

87hrs germinating :

7 Came out , still alot that don't show the stem above the jiffy.
6 of them are already in the boxes.
Ph'ed it to 5.7 but this morning it was 5.3 So added a bit of fresh normal water and it's back at 5.6now.
The ones in the tent are enjoying 18hours of led light.
23-24 °C , and i water the pellet myself because they might dry out of the heat. I'll stop watering when the stems are in the water but this could take a while.

So some are staying in the jiffy's in the pellets. And others are just plain in the pellets. I wanted to see the difference.

Normally my seeds sprout always fast. So i wonder what i should do with the others. Wait a bit longer or try them sprouting in water or those bathrooms wads.
Well maybe i still have to wait a bit longer.

Update, all are sprouted but had to put some upside down because root was growing wrong.
So put them good and are all in the tent now. Happy

Update;

Yesterday evening when i gave it a look. Temperature was way to hot !!
29°C with only 2leds on.
Barely didn't trusted it to go a sleep lol.
So i've put my airfan on and it's now around 25°C with 3leds working. Thing is, the fan is at max speed..
Anyone an idea how to fix this ? Water is also 25°C which is not the goal afcorse.
This is also not good for summer.. Also can't leave the door open for noise
I think its because of the isolation i wrapped around it..

7seedlings in pots : 2 of them just in the hydroton , the others in jiffy's in hydroton.
For now it seems the ones with the jiffy's are doing better.. (maybe the other ones are more stretching down instead of up)
And the other jiffy's with seedlings are in the middle.

Sorry i know bad quality , i'm going to buy another phone in some days.
Also putted a firedetection in that room in case..

Should i worry to be honest?
The leds are in a DAVIN timer controller
The airfan is in a DAVIN speedcontroller
The 2 airpumps are in a normal socket together with the waterpump.

I was a bit worried but now i have to think about it that it's only day 5 so.. Time will tell

Ordinarily, I'd recommend putting your res outside the tent for temp control, but I don't think you are going to have a heat problem.
What are the temps of the room the tent is in? What are the temps in the tent lights on and at that same time what are the temps in the room?

Do you have any ventilation? Like a fan sucking in or blowing out the tent air?

Outside the tent its also warm but not very very warm. yesterday the heating was on by accident but that one won't turn one anymore.
I can't measure it now since both my temperaturemeters are inside the tent. But will check it good the comming days. (after tomorrow i have alot of spair time again)
Yes i have a carbon filter with air sucker. You can't see it on last pic but if you scroll back you will be able to see it.
It seems i misplaced my carbonfilter though lol lol. Its clean air that's comming from ouside and not the way around -_-
And this will be a hell of a hassle to fix

Update; didn't misplaced my airfan. Its just doing ok.
Temperature is between 21-25°C
Watertemperature between 17°C and 20°C

Sadly enough, the ones in the middle jiffy's are still not showing there head above it.
I looked some days ago and they all sprouted(white root out of seed) , should i give them direct led lights -> putting the above layer of the jiffy of them so they see sunshine without looking for it?
I really want them to come out asap.
2 of the others are already 7cm or so.
Which means its almost time to give them some rootnutrients , but for the younger seedlings that's not good afcorse.
Hmm, never had such a hard time with proper germination

Not not good sadly enough.
Water & temperature maintaining is working. But the germination was bad..
Only 5 came out. Others rottened by now.
So i ordered new seeds but they are still underway.. Sucky since the age will be 2weeks difference .. ( bad for the nutrient schedule)
These ones i will germinate like i do normally.. With cotton, goes way faster and better then those jiffy fucks.
And after that i put them in the jiffys with seed just above the jiffy and directly under the lamps on there place.
I'm also wondering i my chinese lamps are decent enough. Because the ones i have now keep stretching like they want more sunlight.. ( they said 300w each)

How long should it take the stems to grow under my netpots from 9cm height ?

Ok seeds just came in.
I'm using an aqaruarium heater and a big tank.
Tank is filled with water , aquarium heater will be on 24°C.
So if watertemperature falls down, it will get heated up.
On top of the water i place an aluminiumfoil thing with cotton things with the seeds in.
Because at night it tends to get cold in here. And during the day we don't want the heating get on constantly.( we need to study )

This thread is so full of win how can we not follow along.

I don't want to sound mean, but you should have done a lot more research before getting to this point and wasting so much time and money. Those little lights (I almost fell for them too) are probably 85-100watts the 300w is marketing bs and means nothing. You're likely going to need a dozen or more to flower 25 square feet.

If I were you, and I realize I'm not, I would stop now, take advantage of all the great knowledge here and move ahead when you have all your equipment working and a solid plan to bring them through flower.

just my 2 cents.

5 plants is a good amount for a first attempt.. just pull those lights together, lower them and concentrate your grow to the middle for now!

Well the lights seem indeed not doing a great job. Thing is it's my first time with led so i can't compare it.
But all other things are working ..
No leaks, good waterflow, good bubbles , good airflow..
Would be nice to have a wattmeter atm to check there real power.
And otherwise.. Looking for more lights. I found they were too cheap lol. (40$ each)

Also i saw i got 1 different led. ( white/blue light)
The others gave more lumens when measuring with my phone.

+ I don't really care about the money, + everything is reusable and will go along for a long time;)

don't worry, there's a d'bag in every crowd. nothing wrong with starting out small and working your way up. i've met people that tried indoor growing and gave it up to do outdoors.

take good notes and learn from your mistakes is my advice.

Well update

Already bought an extra led light (more decent), and it's hanging already in the tent.
I also lowered al the lights.
So that makes 4leds now already. Maybe i will buy another one for in the middle. Time will tell.
Anyway the plants seem to love the lower height which i changed this morning.

+ I find it hard how to know if they need water or not.
I see the jiffy's always drying out on top but no idea how it is on the bottom afcorse..
And i don't want to get those out to see because roots could get damaged ..
