Hey wadup this is matt's grow journal. I am currently growing pure kush clones from the local collective. I am growing in a closet using stealth hydro powdered nutrients. I have a very cost effective CFL system with 125 watt vegetative spectrum and 65 watt side lighting(which is placed at wherever is needed). For flowering im going to increase the CFL wattage to 200. Hopefully this will combat some of the fluffieness of the buds that is common with CFL growing. The first picture is the first day they were in the system. The next picture is the most recent one i have they are at about 10 days old. Already 6-9 inches tall.

-here you can see also the progression of growth since my raging battle with spider mites. notice the foliage damage from using too concentrated of a spray. killed the spider mites and all their babies in one fell swoop but caused a bit of damage and a few day lull in growth. Used einstein neem oil mixed with dial dish soup and distilled ph tested water.

This is a new pic at the pure kush clones at 10 days. Ive heard this is a strain that can turn purple on you but so far all ive seen is slight purple on a few stems. Looked a bit like nutrient problems but as long as this thing keeps getting bushy like that i dont care what color it is.

Go get about 8 23 watt cfls with some y adapters, more lumens per watt. Add that and i think you looking good. 4 lights on sell for 3.77 at home depot 2700 k.

looking healthy there keep up the good work.

but realy to get the real rewards from hydro give e'm some more light.

growem green---------------spike.

thanks guys, that and ventilation have been the two things which i wasn't so sure about. Do you know of any cheap ballast and reflector included 400w systems that are something other than CFL? Because as green as theyre looking my plan was just to side light with the CFLs but ran out of money lol.

also changed out the nutrients from stealth hydro grow to fox farm tiger bloom. it will be interesting to see if the change in brands causes and difference in growth.

The plants look great. Doing something similar with my grow and using the same amount of cfl watts or a little more.Definitely subscribed to this one. Can't wait to see how you do.

thanks guys, actually had cops come in 2 days ago and they were literally 2 feet away from the plants, nothing but a closet door between them, but i think the mix of freebreeze with the ionic air purifier saved my ass. plants are lookin real nice started to get some nice crystals.

Not a professional but I reckon you may have more than 2 weeks left. How many days flowering are you on?

theyve been flowering about 40 days now. im just going by the pistil color really on when to harvest. they are slowly turning from white to orange. when about half have changed color completely i will harvest.

hey buds new pic where i finally caught the crystals a bit. they are quite camera shy.
