Greetings fellow GreenThumbs!! I am new to posting on this forum but I am no stranger to browsing the wealth of knowledge that's offered here. As the title explains, this is my first documented grow, from start to finish. My goal is to ask informed questions (I'm assuming there will be a few) as well as use the information I gather to help others and their gardens thrive. 
As this is my first, hopefully of many, grows and as such, my partner HiOnHydro and I are going from the basics, the bare bones, the raw noodles; a basic 1-plant soil grow. The seed is donation from a friend that is apparently a Haze genetic of some type or other, it germed and was potted successfully within 36 hours. The idea is essentially to keep round 1 basic and build as need and curiousity build, this means we're going to be growing with CFLs and in a constricting environment. A gutted tower speaker 1'x1'x2.5' to be exact (WxDxH).
As of this time, we're entering the 5th day from seed and the little seedling looks quite healthy, standing about 1.5" in height with one set of leaves and a second set emerging nicely. We have two (2) 13W CFLs in the box and until earlier today we had the little seedling under a humidity dome (clear container). Both lights have DIY pop can reflectors for the time being and there will be a couple higher powered lights going in by weeks end with a timer and small fan for stem strength and temperature control. The lights are on 24 hours right now, but we'll be reverting them back to 18/6 after a week or so and roots have had some time to develop.
I hope I can entice some of you to follow me along, I promise I will have pictures shortly as well as a more detailed list of materials that have been used to this point. Any and all input and/or advice is not only welcome but appreciated greatly. Happy growing
