first cfl

have a plant finishing off fowering :weed:

, so i maid this little cab light with cfl. germinated on the 1/16. just made a manual flood tray until they get ready to move to a small dwc for veging. just some bag seed from some killer stink bud. :leaf:

9 seeds in 4 oz of buds. 7 out of 8 isn't to bad(1 was cracked). the lights are 2 23w 2700k and 4 23w 6500k bulbs. 16/8 for a couple of more days, then 18/6 until they run out of room. 15"x17"x28". not much space. first time tring to do at least 4 fem. my flower space is much larger and has a 400w agrosun gold bulb. what the hell let's see if this works.

day 10. cfls are running 18 and the plants look better. 1 of them needed a straw around the stemm. it shot up really fast compared to the rest.

Can you give a bit of info on it.
Is it from the diy, whats it made out of, ect..
I'm looking to make 2 just like that.

thanks the hood is made from the metal kickplate from a aluminum screen door. it has baked on high gloss paint. depending on where you live you can buy aluminum kick plate in a bunch of different widths and as long as you want. the plug bar is zip tied to it. 3 plug converters at hd $2 each, 3 y's the same.

it does pretty good. never to hot to touch. after a couple of days i put a fan on it now it is cool to the touch.

they have just about out grown the cab. :weed:

unreal that this amount of light has worked so good. remodeling a veg area. going to keep cfls on all the way. gowing to add some wattage. :confused:

looking very nice!!! are you going to give them hps? Your doing a mighty fine job lovin those babies. any pre flowers yet?
adding wattage will help tons.....i added 400w of hps to mine. and left the 2 65w cfls on one side, and 4 23w cfls on the other... what a diference the hps makes. if you can swing it you should.... I picked mine up on ebay new in box for 83.00 shipped. what a deal. you might check it out .

thanks. i have a 400w mh(hydrofarm)and a new agrosun gold bulb. no pre flowers yet :confused:

i am hopping when i move them into the new space i will be able to check them better. :mrgreen:

i would like to sex them befor flowering so i can get rid of the boys

using dutch master advanced veg a + b. i am up to almost 3 /4 of a gallon per day. i try to check the ph 2 times per day. it goes up fast. :bigjoint:
