First cabinet build. couple questions.

Building my first cabinet and have a few questions regarding space and proper ventilation. The cabinet itself will be built using existing walls to save space and money. The closet is 5' 8'' (note the closet is wider than longer) and 5' long if you can picture that. I only want the cabinet to be against the far wall and only 2' wide at max and as wide as the closet will allow. The cab can be a minimal of 4' 3''. So what I want to know is can i get away with it being 2' wide and 4' 3'' long with a six hundred watt light that will hold a tray of 16 sog plants. I'm sure it'll be fine with the proper sized fan but what cfm?

Thanks for the help in advance

changed to a 2x4 tent little more expensieve but in the long run better. still same question would a 600 watt light be cooled by a 745 cfm fan well enough to keep the tents down in a 2x4 tent ?

A 745CFM fan would cool a few thousand watts, lol. Wicked overkill IMO and unless you already have it i'd search for something smaller.

Are you going to air cool your reflector? I'd use like a cheap 240cfm to cool the light and a nice centrifugal or mixed flow inline for the room at about 250CFM. If not use that whole 745 for it all. Are you using a carbon filter? They create a lot of static pressure, which is why I ask and you'd need a centrifugal or mixed flow inline to overcome it.

Good choice on the tent if you're trying to be covert. I don't use mine anymore for what I bought it for, using it as a mom tent now to block lighting from the flowering area.

I don't already have it but for 89.99 and 3 year warranty I figured why not. Besides Texas summers of 112 why take any chances lol. Yes passive intake at bottom of tent. Air cooled 600 watt light. defly a carbon scrubber but where im hung up is should the fan push or pull air through the scrubber?

Less wear on the fans motor if you suck through the filter. What happens when you push air through the filter is the air is coming through the fan faster than it can push through the filter so you get a lot of air pushing back into the fan and thats what wears down the motor.

89.99 is cheap for that sized fan, too cheap IMO. I paid 170 free shipping for a Soler & Palau TD-200 which is a variable speed mixed flow inline at 480 CFM and 540CFM. If I could do it all over again i'd get the TD-150 and maybe from their silent line. But my cheap 240CFM fan is louder than my 540 CFM. But exhaust is one of the few things where more won't hurt.

Okay, so pull don't push. Its on ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/8-Inch-Inli...=320768873523&ps=63&clkid=4819694818143273040
Apparently it was a sale for 89.99 now its 115.00 looks like it has a cover of some type to lower noise. Grab a 40.00 speed controller and some rubber so i can mount it without vibration and hopefully it'll be alrite.

Your running a 3x3 tray with a 600 right?

https://www.rollitup.org/indoor-growing/122532-quiet-neighbors-can-hear-you.html shows you how to make a box around your inline to reduce noise. Thing they use bungee cords to act like a vibration isolator.

Keep in mind with that oversized fan you're going to need an over sized carbon filter. Which are heavier and more expensive.

I am running a 3x3 with a 600...Well not right now as i'm a newbie and having issues. Back to t5's and seedlings. :(

Read that thread a few months back but forgot about the box. have to re read it, already have bungees and some 1'' thick rubber. Didn't think about the filter.
