thanks roseman and umm my only question i guess would be do you think a 600w hps would be sufficient enough to take her through flowering??

It would be more than sufficient! A 600 watt is rated as one of the best HID's around. Your buds will be dense!

awesome!!! so i switched her lights on monday and still no sign of sex which is normal but what im wondering is i plan to use flora nova BLOOM nutes and bc bud grow and molasses so my question to you fellow bubbelponic growers is are these a good combination of nutes and if so how much should i put in my 5gal bucket of each one?? im using 3tsp of flora nova GROW currently in my 5 gal bucket and im gna continue to feed her these nutes for the remainder of the week and on her next water change im gna switch to the flowering nutes....

I go by the directions on the label and then back off just a little ( i. e. if it says 5-10ml per gallon I add about 7 and watch my plants to see how they like it). Not a big fan of molasses in anything but soil. I've heard it can gum up things like pumps and airstones.

ohh shit well i dont wanna do that then.....i should still get fat buds without the use of molasses right?? and should i add another type of bloom nute since i wont be using the molasses??

Checked around and the Kush usually finish in 8-9 weeks. That's in line with most indica/indica dominant strains. Got to start watching it around 7 weeks. Get a pocket microscope if you don't have one. Looking at the trichs is the only sre way to tell. Best part about that is you can harvest at the right time for you. Mostly clear - 100% head high, 50% cloudy - some clear, some amber - Mix of head and body - all cloudy and a lot of amber - couch lock time!

haha awesome...i was reading through some threads and i saw that i can get this microscope at radio shack so im gna have to go check it out and yes i definatly want a head high!! so that would mean harvest before the hairs turn amber??? ive never really smoked any bud without amber trichs...i was under the impression that the thc isnt in the plant until the trichs turn amber.....is this not true??

You're getting comfused between trichs and pistals (the little hairs you see on the bud). Pistal color is a refection of the strain (like some flowers are red and some are blue, etc). They give a general idea of when to harvest but the trichs don't lie and that's why we judge by them. I use the RS microscope. Takes some getting used to but all you need to do is cut a small piece of leaf (1/2") put it on a piece of typing /white paper and focus damn it focus! LOL! You can't see trich development with the naked eye.

oh wow that totally jst helped me out!!! man i love this website thanks guys yall have been great help!! i love growing bubbelponically.....i think its soo much better than soil growing!! is it normal for plants to smell like dank even while there stillin veg?? does this usually mean its a female or is it jst because its a marijuana plant??

Smell is strain dependant and doesn't indicate much other than a pleasant experience when I hang out in the grow room and listen to the Doobie Brothers with my girls!

lmao awesome!! man this is the nerve racking part of growing from non feminized seeds i guess!!! my plant is soo bushy i jst dont see how she could be a male but ya never know i guess!!! im gna stop smoking as soon as i find out that shes a girl so that way the first time i smoke her i can jst get baked out of my mind hahahahaha!!!!
