first 2 leaves

how long should it take for the first two (embriotic?) leaves to open after the plant has sprouted. the two leaves are currently pointing straight up and touching. its only been half a week since it sprouted but i was just curious. first grow

im going to say that it depends on the strain. Im in my first grow also, but my plants took about 4 or 5 days

In the very beginning, they prioritise root-growth first, which is why the growth seem slow above ground at first.

u mean the cotyledons? the very very first set of leaves right? they should have opened within approximately the 24 hour period after completely sprouting from the soil. if it has been a week & a half, this is not a viable seedling, scrap it & try again.

I thought he was talking about the first set of rough leaves. Here is a nice link I found about the beginning stages of your baby. I found it a nice read.
