I'm on a different island looking at the smoke - nothing I can do, but we're safe. My buddy, his wife, son and dog are having to deal with it. News overnight is firefighters have gained some ground and it is moving away from structures.

Just saw your post. Best of luck to you, your family, and friends. I am sitting a long way away on the east coast watching the news reports and thinking of friends in BC. We have had a long hot summer, but not the problems of forest fires like you have. I surely hope that this passes soon and that life gets back to normal..........
