Finger pointing : Who is to blame? Pot Club VS Dispensary or is it just greedy people ruining it for the rest of us?

Shanna Webb Says Don't confuse legitimate marijuana dispensaries with pot clubs.

J. Craig Canada points out the origin of a pot club and it's benefits to the community. So what are we to think? Who is to blame for the Federal crackdown? Are we just being ruined by rouge profiteers? Are the Greedy ( the ugly ) making it hard for our Government to see who is the Good from who is the bad in this Cannabis Confrontation?

I assume as usual the people will pay for the damages with their liberty.

I just commented on that article.. I'd like to read some feedback if you guys will.

Where we need to go is to legalize for personal use, private horticulture of cannabis ( this allows breeding and seed saving plus sharing of plants and seeds ) and private non-commercial trade with others such as gifting a pound, plants or a tray of brownies for example.
Until we lay the foundation for the people we cannot build on Cannabis Freedom to allow commerce.
One level or step at a time. Commerce is a serious Federal Fight but once anyone in the State can grow plants.. Well you see my point. We opt out of the Cannabis Prohibition and other States will follow just like Medical.

So with this finger pointing are we not forgetting to have a plan we all can agree on?
...
True that greedy bad people have ruined our Medical freedom but Medical Freedom isn't what we all want the most it's Cannabis freedom so it is time to drop the medical jargon and get to legalizing for all.
Who is wrong? A Pot Club or a Dispensary? In the Federal Eyes and about half of California last election, both are.
It's time for Cannabis freedom for the people and we have to curb the Cannabis Industry. It's just common sense if we want to win the war on Cannabis. Sometimes we have to sacrifice to achieve.

All that has happened is our Cannabis Industry has been given enough rope to hang themselves and they have.

The reason bud is expensive at dispensaries is because demand is high for their products. There aren't enough dispensaries to keep prices low.

Until last year there were only two dispensaries in my county. The price of top shelf had always been $65 plus taxes for 1/8. Last year they allowed 5 new dispensaries to open up. Now the top shelf price is between $45-50 per 1/8 at the dispensaries. Prices are high because there aren't enough dispensaries to keep up with demand. It's the same reason prices on a pound for vendors keeps dropping. There are very few dispensaries so they don't have to compete to keep vendors.

Allow a free market for dispensaries and even if they were all for profit the price of an 1/8 would go WAY down. Probably $35-40. It's over regulation preventing low prices.

For the answer to the question of who is to blame for the federal government, that is simple. It's the federal government. The FDA has been lying for over 70 years claiming there is no medical use for cannabis. That's the only reason it's illegal under federal law. They could change it tomorrow if they wanted to.

Interesting fact - If some how a state passed a law making for profit medical crack or PCP dispensaries legal, it would be perfectly legal under federal law for them to operate selling crack or PCP and making as much profits as they liked.

The difference between what the government considers a non-profit medical dispensary and a "for profit pot club" can be as simple as claiming a deduction for rent on the company's taxes. Every other non-profit in America is allowed to deduct things like rent and payroll on their taxes and still be considered non-profit. It's only dispensaries that are not allowed to do that, and they only officially ruled on that a few months ago.

The government wants us all to blame each other for the raids. It's a divide and conquer strategy. Don't give them what they want. The fault of these raids belongs to the federal government alone. Don't blame members of our 215 community. Blame the people keeping cannabis illegal and throwing people in prison for it.

No matter what people do, the government will find some excuse to try and throw us all in prison.

That is a nice post.

Indeed. When I read that MercuryNews article and the comments my reaction was to point out that we don't need better Medical rules we need legalized weed for all.
There is no point in doing the blame game, as we Americans do, then dropping it once blame is assigned, as we Americans do, and not doing anything to change things.

Indeed. The only blame here goes to our federal government for lying about the effects of cannabis and the corporations that lobby the government to continue that lie.
