Finding garden space.

Does anyone have any tips on finding a place to grow once I get a prescription? Growing is not an option where I live. I'm willing to be a caregiver and grow for someone else also.

Get a commercial space if you'll have multiple cards to produce for. I'm sure it won't be hard to find a landlord that's cool with it or doesn't care.

Lot's of people seeing the opportunity to get money.

I'm really just wanting to avoid buying it anymore and to know what I'm smoking. I'm not looking to make money at it.

How'd my thread get 120 views in the first hour? Do I have company lurking in the filthy bowels of government?

i'm in the same boat man. Boston is super expensive to rent. dont have money to get a bigger place. almost makes sense to get a few card holders together and rent out commercial space. but who knows how the laws are going to be when they finalize them apr1. wait and see i guess :/

Your best bet is to form a collective with 2 or 3 other caregivers and combine the plants under one grow weather its at one of the other caregivers location or going in on a rental location together

If you form a collective, you are opening yourself to a whole new level of prosecution. Also, think about working with others to grow and harvest. Cultivating marijuana is so customized to the person that good luck getting what you want done for your plants. Also, I hope you dont have trust issues when you have a certain amount of weight hanging to dry, awaiting for the prying hands of impatient noobs.

Your best bet is to build a small box for yourself until you get the hang of it. Get atleast a few harvest under your belt before you start paying for a second place.

Find a friend who is legal. And you become legal. Then become their caregiver and grow at their house :) bottom line: if you're going to be on a list saying you're an MMP, don't do anything illegal, cuz you became an MMP to medicate and avoid prosecution, right?

If you grow at a friends house, and officials (cops) come to count your plants, they will put all of the numbers on him. The plants belong to who cares for them. Hanging a license on a wall without living there doesn't protect your buddy from prosecution. Cops don't know how to count plants. WHen they see your friend is over his number, he will be taken in.

What if you had a friend who had say a guesthouse or a barn, if that peson were to write up a rental lease agreement so that your name was attatched to that particular part of the property the person renting that space would retain the responsibity of what goes on in it with the Proprietor maintaining plausable deniability correct?

I hope Mass law is more narrow than RI law, because in RI, there are parts that are fully left out, similar to what you are asking. The bottom line is, you are protected to a certain extent by the health department. Once you leave their area of coverage, the health department cannot recognize you as following their protocol, and you will be up for all sorts of prosecution. You can do exactly what you said, but if anyone shows up to the residency, and you are not there to claim the plants, your friend will be arrested.
