Finally my first grow journal!!

Ok I got a 10 gal tote and lid from wally world aquarium rocks ( to hold down airstones) tubing and air stones all from wally world..
Using sponge instead of rock wool couldnt seem to find any rw but will keep lookn

Got 200 gal pond pump ( set to lowest setting)home depot 40 bucks most expensive of all and i found a irrigation manifold on sale at wally world only 2 bucks so i bought 3.

Ordered net pots net pot lids hydroton and technaflora starter kit for success via the internet
4 26 watters 1 42 watter

I'vegot a 6 site diy bubbleponic system but only using three at the momen t germing more beans (bagseed) as we speak

the Ph is between 5.9 and 6.2

Is it manditory to have the pump that puts water on the RW?

Or can I just Put the water level 1inch on the netpots?

id use the pumps man...but may i ask man what are those rock looking things all in ur res? and those sponge things what are they? and do they work as well as rockwool?

I know that I can use the pumps...But is it MANDITORY, Like I dont have the extra $$ to spend on one. : /

those rocks r just aquarum rocks to hold down the airstones they were soaked in ph' ed water with everything else. Im using sponges insead of rw but i dont think its gonna work so ? where do i get rw walmart doesnt seem to have it.

Just google hydroponics shop "your town,state"

And one will come up...most likely!

If not Ill FedEx you some for cheap. I have 2"x2" cubes : )

For your question about the pump, it is not mandatory but I HIGHLY recommend it. The rate of growth with the pumps is unparalleled and you will get a great head start. Check out this link for proof: Thinking about going bubbleponics? This should convince you.... Also, the sponges will work just as well as rockwool. I don't know from experience, but other experienced growers have told me they will work. If you really want to get rockwool, just buy some online.

well dont shut it down just because of those! LOL!

Use pH balenced water(bottled) or just grab some pH test strips at a pool store. They wont be the most accurate in the world. But they will get it close enough.

you can still do a cheap grow, it may not be the best but times are hard for everyone. Im a mutiple business owner and im struggling! you know whats right for you and you priorities. I used to say this to my troopers back in the day but KEEP THE FAITH AND ROCK ON!!!! I know that if you pm the right people , I for one will send you whatever extra shit I have on hand. I think thats what bubbleheads are about! Forgive me if Im raising the bar but i dont think so! Other than the egg layer everybody here is good people as far as I know. If any of this didnt make sense I have a conconscion! I totally didnt spell that right!!! LOL

Roseman has done 7 grows without a pH meter. They are pretty pricey. You do need some way to measure the pH though, so go get some test strips from a pool store like DacDac said.
