Final 2 Stealth Grow Box Ideas

So I've narrowed it down to two methods to grow as stealthy as possible in our house (since we're in a lease that this violates), and I need something really simple so I can break it down quickly.

My first came to me as I was sitting watching T.V., trying to brainstorm, and it hit me like a ton of bricks as I glanced at my fireplace. I'm sure others have done it but it seems to me the perfect thing for my scenario. It can be perfectly sealed off from the room light. I don't have to worry about excessive heat, since there's an opening that vents all the way at the top (obviously) I can probably fit four 3 gallon pots in there. I will have to be all CFL, because the vertical clearance isn't that high. I could line all the sides with mylar, as well as the doors. I was thinking I could get an extending curtains to stick horizontally inside, to hang/clip my lights to, without reflector, so that the lights bounce all over. I think the plants can grow up to two feet in there easily. Does this sound like a good idea? I found one other person who did it, but he was hydro, but nobody else that I can find.

The other idea, I got from someone here, I think, doing an internet search. He suggested buying a cheap metal rack they sell at walmart, like this one: http://www.walmart.com/ip/4-Tier-Wire-Rack/16880640 . And you could just clip your lights to the rack, as well as fans, and anything else. He says you can just drape/hang the mylar around it and secure with duct tape, and if you want, just throw a big blanket over it, for extra stealth.

Which one of these seems the better idea? The one thing I'm always paranoid about is fire. The fireplace seems to be less of a worry to me, because even if something sparked off in there, nothing would happen that would endanger the house. I worry about the wire rack, because of this, but Im sure it might just be unfounded.
