Fimming didnt work for me and Tops

Ok I set aside 5 plants for testing and trying different techniques. I topped 3 of my plant , and fimmed the other two. I really wanted to get a heads up on these two different processes because i plan to ScrOG out my growth. I only have 20 days before the Subcool's Super soil is done sitting in the sun and I can serious get to business.

I think I mastered topping (because it is sooooooooooooo simple lol), but when it come to fimming I really dont know what the hell im looking for at all. So I decided to post pics for you guys to tell me what a noob I am.

I don't think I really succeeded with this technique because it looks like the plant just continued to grow. (Side-note I know the sun is supposed to be slower I can tell with the overall growth and comparisons but these plants only took about 3 days to start back,,,,which I thought was pretty good



These are the three plants I topped, One I topped 2 nights ago and the others 4 days ago.


(Smallest First) I know its bigger than the one in the black pot but it is much young almost by two weeks lol.

I cant wait until my lights and seed get back in the mail. I have a lot more work in my grow room and will post pics of what I have got up already. I ordered 3 costly lumatek high Par light systems (600watts) which really hurt my pockets. So im really ready to get everything under way. Im soooooooooooo impatience. Please rip me apart..........................

I don't think you cut off quite enough when u attempted the FIM. Weird that your topped plants are bigger than the FIMed plants, especially since you cut off more of the nonFIMed plants. Are they all in the same medium/nutes and are they all getting the same amount of light? I didn't top any of mine, i used FIM method and it turned out nice for me(check out my journal), although some look better than others. Reason why I say you may not have cut off enough is cause the leaves look like they weren't cut. After i FIMed i had weird looking leaves where i trimmed the top of the plant. But regardless they look nice and sounds like u got some nice equipment on the way. My first grow inside too. Good luck.
