Few ?s before first grow...

Hey guys, im a noob and been doing a lot of research on growing and about to make my first grow soon, just a couple things I wanted to know first...

1. About how many days after planting the seed should I start the flowering stage?

2. I know absolutely nothing about harvesting, I know to flush them but what exactly do I cut off the plant?

Btw the strain I have is red haze if it will help answer the ?s. Thanks,

well how big do you want your plant to be???veg it to the size you want then flower it......flower a plant then we will talk about harvesting it
