few big vs many small

I am torn in between the two. Will I yield more off 48 plants in 5 gal dwc buckets grown 3' - 4' tall or two 4' x 8' flood tables with 77 clones each.

I have an area that's 12' length x 6' high x 4' deep. I got two 1000 watt hps on light rails. Should I go with fewer bigger plants or many small? I only care about yield.

I have a dwc mother and it grows faster then my ebb and flow plants. I'm leaning towards fewer bigger ones.

To me it seems like I could fit 48 plants in this area with approx 3 ounces a plant. That would include more vegging then flowering clones. I would assume flowering about 154 clones in the same area would give me a 1/2 oz at most per plant?

I'm kind of just guessing yields, although they seem logical to me.

I'd go DWC. I am a soil grower but have seen first hand that dwc gives results with minimal effort and it is reliable. 48 plants is the way to go I'd assume tho it may not be as fast. E&F with 154 plants under 2 1000w sounds really nice still. If you have the resources do both. Use the ebb and flow to veg 77 clones to put outside this spring. thats my goal. I think I am going to do one side of the room my ebb and flow and the other dwc buckets. I will compare the two and see what yields more. So far my dwc is growing a lot faster then my ebb and flow clones. I have one dwc mother plant i used as an experiment and I am so glad I did. The dwc will be a little more work overall but I think it will be hella worth it. You should build one and get rid of that soil. All I did is buy a 3 watt air pump, some clear vinyl tubing, an air stone, 5 gal bucket with lid, net pot, and i used hydroton for the medium. It is so amazing how the roots are growing, everyday they are atleast a few inches longer!!!

DWC is the shit I know. I knew a guy who used 5 gal buckets some piping and large garbage cans as reservoirs and only had to check his system once a week. My next op will for sure be dwc. The man who did that is my growing idle.. been doing it for 35 years. He had the best biggest buds i've ever seen first hand. Untill the drug task force got him worst day of my life. He bred his own shit for so many years I'd pay a thousand bucks for a clone of any of his shit. Its rediculous how the gov harms so many familys for things that otherwise do no damage. He used hydroton as well. Anyways... Im very interested in you set up i'd like to hear more about it and see your success. Once I begin my quest for giant dwc monsters I will start a journal. I hope you do the same.
