Fertilizer question!!! please help!!

I was given some 5-6-8 tomato plant fertilizer by a friend of mine. He told me it would work just fine with my plants, but he's kind of a dumbass, so I thought I would get some input from you folks before trying it out. What do you think? Would it be a good thing?

ok, it might be a stupid question, but I could really use some input...I don't want to ruin my crop with som BS fert.

Use it at 1/2 recommended and keep a close eye on them.

Well what stage are they in? indoor or outdoor? Pics? strain?
