Some people get unlucky, but its such a small chance you wont get female. Just dont fuck up your veg period with stress or anything and you'll get females. Fuck actually its more honest of me to tell you they always work....I'll third what kathleenbilly said.

If you work out the costs of female to male seeds, say that the regular version costs 50 and the female version costs as much more as 90 break it down into how much a female will cost. So you get 50/50 ratio on average so you get 5 fems out of a pack of 10 at 50 so thats 10 per seed, say you got some feminized got all fems then thats only 9 per seed, so really per female its cheaper to buy fem seeds.

What I would say is that if your going to get some feminized seeds, don't cheap out, some breeders offer fem seeds at low costs and as a breeder they don't rank that highly but say you got some soma feminized or greenhouse feminized then your going to get better quality with fem seeds that were produced in a better environment. Therefore your chances of getting hermies is reduced.

For someone like myself who runs 5 plants at a time or (ten if you include the veg) feminised seeds are great i'm fairly new at this but did buy some big bud seeds which i need to sex. However given the price of the feminised seeds i have which have grown beautifully given i can clone from, it seems so much easier.

Like i said i'm a new grower there are good reasons to buy seeds that are not feminised and sex, myself i don't know the benefits as i don't have the experience to comment maybe someone will give the positives about them here, in the meantime since i have my big bud i will sex them to learn and enjoy it for that reason but as a practical process its not something i shall do in future. :joint:
