Female clone is getting male flowers.

So I supposedly got some female clones from a friend. I am now three weeks into my flowering and I am finding male pollen sacks. Some of the pollen sacks are more mature than others. It is only a small (5 plants) closet grow. I started to notice these sacks about a week ago and to this point I have been plucking them off as I see them. Maybe one per plant per day. So its definitely not "infested"... yet. Before today there were only signs of these male pollen sacks on the lower area of my plants, so I wasnt as worried about it spreading too bad. Unfortunately, today I noticed a couple on my top buds too. These are deeper in the bud itself and harder to spot. I plucked them also.

With that being said, I would like to ask the readers if they have run into this problem and what you did to resolve your problem? Or if anyone has any constructive advise, that would be appreciated also. I do not want to have to start over from scratch, but I also dont want buds full of seeds. If there is one here or there, I can deal with that.

I dont mean to beat you up, but if you are sure your seeing male flowers like that and they are not just caylxes, you really really really should start over. that IS a bad case, 1 or 2 total(per plant in the last week) would be a mild case. do you interupt their dark period or have light leaks? im sorry, but they are not worth keeping

i noticed u said u found pollen sacks deeper in the bud???
was that a typo?? if ur seein buds and pollen sacks they may be hermafrodiets.
if there all from same mother plants they will most likely all turn out the same.
i'd say start over with new clones from diff mother plant or even seedling if u must.

u might have leaks during ur dark time. i dont think ur buddy would hook u up wit shit. if ur plant gets ne bit of light during dark time u could get hermie

spray the pollen with water...if you have naners in the bud itself you have a light leak or something stressing your plant 12 hours total 100% darkness

I think they may just be hermie. It may have been caused by light leakage. It is just a closet grow that I have to keep the sliding doors cracked about two inches for ventilation. I have two sheets back to back covering them during lights out, but I would say that it IS possible that there may be some light getting in. Couldnt rule that out, but I think its pretty dark. The guy I got these from is having the same problem and is starting all over, so I assuming that they were already Hermies when I got them.

Would you readers think that the bud is smokeable? Would hate to just throw them out. The buds are looking very good and I have only 2-3 weeks left by the looks of them. I mean, Im only finding MAYBE 1 per plant per day. Probably more like every other day.

Not a typo. Just noticed those a couple days ago. All before those were on lower buds and easily visible. I dont want to just throw them out and start over but if it starts to get much worse I guess I have no other option. The buds are looking sweet and I only have a few weeks left. Dont really know how quick they can/will multiply either.

if your only 3 weeks into flower youve got more than a few weeks left my friend. if it was just a week or two left I would still advise cutting though, once they are pollinated they just go downhill, they focus on the reproduction aspect and not much else.
I think it is probally not your fault, since you said your buddy you got them from has the same thing happening, but fixing any possible light leak should still be a top priority. If it was only a few and from stress and not a genetic hermie you could of just snipped them as you saw them and made sure they recieved no light stress or anything, but like i said I think youve got yourself some genetic problems there, which means they are gonna keep putting out male flowers and youve said you already see them inside the buds, so youve only got to miss 1 flower deep in a bud where its nearly impossible to check and it will ruin everything. its most likely already happened repeatedly, it is nearly impossible to get each and every one out of deep in the bud and just not worth the effort. Have any pics? If they are 3 weeks in i dont think your gonna get much from them, maybe some low potency hash, but even that is pretty iffy. It is possible im wrong about it of course, you might get some decent hash if they are further along than im thinking they are, but its a longshot imo.

Do NOT cut them, you don't necessarily have to. If you really want to try and save them go out and buy your self some Dutch Masters Reverse with the Penetrator. The stuff is kinda pricey but if they mean that much to you its worth it. My brother just had his plant start growing seeds outta nowhere and then he used that stuff and bam, no more seed production and female flowering appeared to resume as normal.

Hmm, I've never heard of that Reverse stuff before, good info Demigod!

Also, to the OP, I've smoked hermies lots of times, it is fine. They were usually more than 3 weeks into flowering though, so I don't know how potent yours will be unless you let them grow longer. I wouldn't just immediately throw it all away. If you're going to cut them down, at least try drying out and smoking a bit of it before you toss it. If you don't like it or it doesn't do anything, then you can toss it. :)

I was gonna bring up the dutchmasters, but it seems he has a genetic hermie, which i may be wrong but i dont think it helps w/genetic hermies. this is from them themselves, notice how it says it takes care of light hermies but nothing about genetic ones. I could be wrong though, so dont bite my head off if im wrong, lol.
Reverse can detune the plant receptor cells that are responsible for gibberellin reception and secondary biosynthesis that is responsible for over 95% of the cases of unwanted male flower expression.

......and its too late if its already been pollinated even if it would work. it wont stop seeds from forming that are already happening.

The guy that I got the clones from is trying out that reversal stuff to see if it helps with his. I know I wont be able to get ALL of the pollen sacks off. I am getting most of them off of the plants before they get to a pollination stage. Only a few have actually had pollen in them. At least I think I am plucking them off before they mature. Hope I am not pickng off some forming buds or something, but they do look way different then the other growth. I will try to post some pics soon.

well u can probly styll get smokeable bud but with features u don't want. pollen sacks, seeds...
and i douubt it's been growing properly
