You shouldn't use a timed feeding/watering schedule, as the plants have different requirements at different stages of growth.
You should water thoroughly until there is some run-off, then allow the soil to dry out pretty well before you water again. Stick your finger down into the soil a bit, and if it feels dry, you are good to water. As for nutrients, it depends on the soil you are using, how long the plant has been in it, and how much soil mass is occupied by the roots already.
