Feeding last week of flower

Nah, I'm pretty sure I'm going to continue to use the local terminology, I don't care about pedantry.
There's a huge difference between being pedantic and being accurate. Language has evolved to convey complicated ideas in great detail using words that have similar, but completely different meanings, and you're thought is "I'm going to call a potato a turnip and I don't care that there's a difference!"
According to your logic, everyone that grows anything and waters it is flushing.

If that's how you care to see it, it's not my problem or business.

The way I see it flushing is literally what the word describes. Water running through, continuously, completely. If your not getting a tonne of run off, your not "flushing" anything out. Sure straight water feeding has similar effects to flushing, doesn't mean the word is interchangeable. Flushing is not a used practice in organics, but other methods it is, doesn't mean we need to criticize the technique.

I give straight water for the last 3 weeks. With just an inch of run of each time. I don't say that I flush for 3 weeks tho.

I can either use the handle on my toilet to violently flush, or I can simply slowly introduce water into the bowl and it will eventually flush.

I guess in the end its all the same old shit.

I believe it was Socrates who first said that.
Neither here nor there
Not fir nuttin

All that shit as well

i like to see my plants go full life cycle, basically almost die on the vine. So feeding the the last week is a no for me, due to my technique. I feel you get a wider variety of terpenes by doing so, just some food for thought. PS I start my straight water diet 10 days prior to chop sometimes 14. Good luck either way, I’m sure you gonna be super happy with your awesome smoke!

Yes that's hypotonic flushing. Its why you don't water tomatoes before harvest, they are full of hypotonic flushing agent.

You gonna sit here and fail to differentiate between isotonic and hypotonic? What are you a caveman or even worse a liberal?

Then it's not flushing, stop using that term, you're just perpetuating a long standing growing myth.

If you call someone dude you are calling them an infected elephant ass hair omg!

Flushing is a real thing outside of the grow store. Out in the real world, flushing is a thing ya know, bro .. OMG i call you bro and we aren't even related! How crazy!

Flushing is exactly what the agriculture community defines it as. Changing the pressure between inside and outside of root to control flow one way or the other.

You can tell a skater that his backwards 180 isn't called a half cab all you want, its still up to these skateboard community I think?

Everyone knows what flushing is: limiting uptake of nutes. Various methods yall. Methodology doesn't encompass practice, other way around.

Everyone can just make there own definition then. I prefer to differentiate between the method of feeding water only when pots are dry, and running 3X of the containers volume of water through it to remove the majority of nutrients built up immediately. What do you call that, if you already call watering with water "flushing"?

You can read my sig, right? I have a petty good idea what "flushing" is and where it's effectively used. I flushed my fist couple seasons when I was still wet behind the ears and didn't know WTF I was doing. Then I read a ton of research papers on the subject. No where in any horticultural significant studies I've read has "flushing" helped, as long as a reasonable nutrient regime is followed, so I don't see the point in doing it to this plant. All people are doing is dumping nutes in thier medium, hoping to pump up buds, then washing them out at the end. $$ down the drain. It's really:dunce:, kinda:cry:.

Bro.

then washing them out at the end
But then it feeds the weeds, which feeds the compost pile.
You could argue about efficiency, I guess.
I am curious to read these studies, though.
Are they cannabis specific?
I suppose hops might be also a good comparison, being related.
