Feeding chart wrong or am i wrong ?

So i am using the Maxi series ( maxi grow for veg maxi bloom for flowering ) from general hydroponics.

maxi grow is a 10-5-14

maxi bloom is 5-15-14

on the side on the products it lists a series of measurements

1/4 tsp for seedlings and cutting
1/2 tsp for orchids and delicates
1 tsp for most salad greens / veg
1 1/4 tsp for most fast growing
1 1/2 tsp for very fast growing use with caution

all of these in 1 gallon of water


I wasn't sure how much i was supose to be feeding my plants so i asked around here and did a little research and figured out it was around 800-1000 PPM untill it was 2 feet tall then i could go upwards of 1200 + as long as i kept only feeding every 2nd or 3rd watering. ( i don't feed at 1/4 strength each time )

I found a feeding chart online provided from what looks to be general hydroponics because it has all of their products on it and it says i should be using upwards of 2 1/2 tsp when feeding.

so i used my ppm meter after putting 1 1/2 tsp into a gallon of water and it read out 1340 ppm and this was right after i calibrated it so i know the reading is correct



so i am getting alot of conflicting information and was wondering which one is correct. My plants are healthy now in the veg stages of growth but i dont want to burn / under feed them at all durring flowering so i wanted to set this straight now

I have the GH booklet in front of me:

Early Bloom (1000-1400)- .5 tsp Grow, 1 tsp Bloom
Mid Bloom (1000-1400)- .5 tsp Grow, 1-1.5 tsp Bloom
Late Bloom (1000-1400)- 0 tsp Grow, 1-1.5 tsp Bloom
Ripening (1000-1400)- 0 tsp Grow, .5-1 tsp Bloom

Your meter seems to be right on with the chart I have here, putting 1.5 tsp right on track with their 1400ppm high end reading. 2 1/2 would put you somewhere around 2300ppm, if my calculations are correct.

The other phases they list are:

Clone 300-400ppm - 1/4 tsp Grow, 1/4 tsp Bloom
Grow 1000-1200ppm- 1 to 1.25 tsp Grow, 0 Bloom
Aggressive Growth 1200-1400ppm- 1.25-1.5 tsp Grow, 0 Bloom
