Feeding Autos...

Hi, I am experimenting with 4 Autos. It is the first time I have done Autos. They are a little over 4 weeks old and are showing the first signs of flower. The soil I have them in is usually good for about 4 weeks. I gave them a dose of calmag at 3 weeks. I am using Plant Magic Old Timers Grow, Bloom and PK 4-8. If they were Photos I would feed them using this schedule...

I have read that Autos are nowhere near as hungry as Photos. Should I stick to the feeding schedule or do something different? I was thinking of feeding them at 50% strength.

Any advice would be great. Thanks.

Are you using their supreme soil?

Nope. They are in Westlands Jack's Magic.
Mkay. I’ve only used their range using their soil so can only offer rough advice.

The old timers range is pretty strong. Start off with 1ml per L so half Strength and increase by 0.5ml until you reach the plants limits.

Strong as I go is half strength so 2.5ml per L. I don’t use the PK anymore as I find the old timers is enough. If u do use PK Again start at half strength so 1ml per L.

If your water is soft u need some calmag. Biobizz organic calmag is a really good one! No added nitrogen.

Thanks. I will give that a go then. I have Old Timers Organic Magnesium.

Yea they come in handy! But just buy Epsom salts next time as it’s the same thing but much cheaper! Can get like 5kg for under a tenner I think.
Yeah. I got that whilst self isolating. They did the entire Old Timers Range for a price. I saw this morning that Home Bargains have Epsom Salts for £1.69 a KG.

Fed them as suggested tonight. I have to say that even though they are running along side my 12/12 Photos they are developing at a fair speed. I have been doing LST since they reached the third internode and each plant has developed 5 or 6 viable heads with great structure. I am very happy with how they are going.

I hope you'll post pictures and final dry weight at the end, I'm curious how they'll finish. I'm doing a loose experiment with growing autos without a tent, and I only have lights over them for 12 hours a day. So far they are growing *really* slowly.

What are the temps in your tent with the lights on and off? I've had autos slow down because of cold temps, I'm wondering how much that is impacting my current setup.

I am experimenting with 4 Autos.
Breeder and strains?

They are White Skunk by Sensi Seeds. I try to keep the tent in the mid 20s with the lights on.

I am sorry but I am in the UK so I can't post pics. The cultivation of Cannabis still carries a penalty of 14 years in prison.

The first 50 or so years of my life it was illegal here, I never thought that would change. The first time I walked into a legal dispensary and left with cannabis it was hard to get comfortable after a lifetime of looking over my shoulder. A couple of years later we had some plants stolen from our backyard grow, and we walked over to the police station and reported the theft. It doesn't get any more surreal than telling a police officer that someone stole your pot... and having them patiently and politely record the theft. Maybe someday it'll be legal everywhere. You never know.

I wish. I can't see it ever happening here. In 2004 it was decriminalised, but they put it back up again a few years later.

Plants feed through photosynthesis. Nutes are like the daily vitamin you take. How much nutes you give your autos depends on what kind of lighting you have, and genetics.
