Fear of flushing

Hey guys,

I wanted to flush my girls out cuz of all the nutes in the soil, and cuz of the bloom boost ive been feeding them, they are starting to get a touch of burn once again. So i went to flush them, and i started to flush one but the holes in the pot arent giving me a good enough runoff to where i can run 5 gallons through each plant for my flush. I mean, im probably paranoid or scared of killin the plants, but when i dumped the first gallon through my big gurl and i saw that the water wasn't running through like its supposed to, i just stopped, let the water drain from her, and let it alone at that.

My soil is 40% perlite, 30% MG moisture control, and 30% generil soil. Now, the thing is, my mix just kinda locks up like its a mud bog or somethin when i run that much water through it. Is there anything special i should be doing when flushing to make the process go smoother? what do you guys do when you flush out your girls???

:leaf::leaf: I flushed like 3 gallons through my girl and now much came out the bottom. She retains alot of water so i wasnt too worried. :leaf::leaf:

arent you supposed to flush until you get a clear runoff though? my runoff is light light yellow, like diluted piss at the moment, lol. In order for the water to clear out, you would need a better run off on your pots no? n if this is the case, what m i gonna do during the final flush before harvest????

Cut bigger drainage holes in the pot or get b etter draining soil. Moisture control soil is supposed to hold water so it doesnt surprise me that if you dump a gallon in there not a whole gallon comes back out. I use fox farm ocean forrest, and If I dump a gallon in only a half gallon comes back out. The soil will only hold what it can, all else will drain so run a couple more gallons through it and then add a mild nute mix

yeh, i actually just found out theres a harvest moon hydroponics store not too far from where im at, so im probably gonna hit them up on payday, n transplant everything out into growbags, with fox farm soil, that way flushing wont be an issue until final flush before harvest. Also probably gonna pick up some fox farm nutes for flowering also. Im only a week into flowering so shit should still be cool to transplant - from what i understand its still not too late anyways.

cut or drill more holes
flush 3water to 1 soil
if you are going to do it
just doit
dont be scared dont do have the job
