Unless he is out and has an agreed upon court date, I don't see that. If he is in custody, all expenses are paid and no motel room will be involved.

Yea.. Not to sound like a douche.. But as someone mentioned, if he is going to jail anyways, why would ANYONE pay $1200 to get there? All's he would have to do is not show up for court, and get issued a bench warrant. They know where he is, if he has an anklet on. Something smells fishy..

Another question would be: What happens if FDD doesn't raise/have enough money to get there? The above will happen anyways.

That would be really stupid. He is being sentenced. If they have to go get him, his sentence will be worse than what it would be if he showed up voluntarily.
