That's because this is my journal. I share my grow journey with other peeps here. If people arent interested they wont read.

Edit: This is not a High School drama. I shared what happened exactly. You can keep saying I lied all you want, there's no incentive for me to do so, so it makes no sense for me to lie. You did ship the light to the wrong address somehow, and you did insult your competitors when I wrote about the new panels. These two things are negative and they happened. Overall it was a horrible experience for me personally, and I'm the only one who can relate to that effect. Not you. Me. Since this is journal and a journal is meant to document progress I shared my experience, but only after you came here to taunt and annoy the shit out of me. If you had remained out of here I would never have brought it up. By stalking me here, you displayed your unprofessionalism and made my case for me. The rest is just two guys arguing online. You can't keep harassing a customer who reviews you negatively until he changes it. It's not how the system works. Calling him a liar or a thief is not the way either.

When you talk price difference. $1200 for a 400 watt clw. A51 light as similar is 450 watt for a $1000 (prior to end of year sale.) so same price really.. Why I do not like clw. They use 5 watt chips. Which are dual chip (two 3w). Dual chips last around half as much as a single chip. So a51's in theory should last twice as long as a clw. Clw is also hurting business wise. I read some where they even filed for bankruptacy. Not sure if ch7 is true but they are hurting.

Is there any evidence, paper trail, or filings with the state of California that would verify this? If they filed for ch7 it would be easy to verify.

It would be kept with IRS or their cpa or lawyers or judge who presided. It would only be easily available if if was a publically traded company. Otherwise they are not required to disclose that info. So someone who worked there would have to leak it out.

Liens on their property on the other hand can be found at the county clerks office.

Gotcha. Things are a little different here.

I heard the very opposite. Goes to show how reliable Internet can be.

We'll know in due time :)

So we can't play nice...................SAD really

My facts as i know from personal experience :

1.... I've known EH before he started area 51 lighting(on this forum) .....spuzzum and him called out a couple of retailers on their actual led manufactures (advance/progrow/blackstar) all lied unfortunately and they soon changed their websites:)......search maxxpesh's thread

2...I have yet to hear ANYONE dissatisfied with AREA 51's products except for Frank........not kidding

3...Frank has bashed indagro a couple of pages back for restocking fees but now says their on par with CLW on customer service???? hmm short memory issues

4... you say EH bashes CLW with his email responses to you BUT has openly said on this forum that he would buy their products and thinks their good quality....I've seen it with my own eyes.....not kidding again

5.. No I wouldn't buy a 1200 dollar bong...........crazy

6.. I'll vouch for EH because he NEVER pushes his products on anyone and is one of the few led sellers that will tell what actual emitters/bin # are used and I also like CLW panels for the same reason.......this all sounds like a personal vendetta to me.... I would act the same as EH if you fucked with my livelihood ....

7 ,,,I'm not a botanist or expert, just an average indoor grower with too much time/wine in his hands :P

8...Frank just do your grow and show it with your great photo/led gear............i'll watch and enjoy as always

I bought a $700 bong once. All artwork though not clear bullshit. It broke 4 years later when I was no longer a baller. The same bongs if any are left go for $1200 - $2000 because the glass blower passed away. Also chronic creations had an article in high times around 2007.

2...I have yet to hear ANYONE dissatisfied with AREA 51's products except for Frank........not kidding [I still have a duty, even a right I would say, to post a review of my experience.]

3...Frank has bashed indagro a couple of pages back for restocking fees but now says their on par with CLW on customer service???? hmm short memory issues [chaz dropped in and offered an explanation. Maybe you missed his post. And I did say I did not agree with his pricing. You guys appear to read very selectively.]

4... you say EH bashes CLW with his email responses to you BUT has openly said on this forum that he would buy their products and thinks their good quality....I've seen it with my own eyes.....not kidding again [He called the CLW documentation fluff and hookum. The documentation is rock solid and is all anchored in science. Trying to ridicule the work of another company is unprofessional.]

5.. No I wouldn't buy a 1200 dollar bong...........crazy [It is crazy!]

6.. You think Amazon removes 1 star reviews if the manufacturer's asks them? No.]

7 ,,,I'm not a botanist or expert, just an average indoor grower with too much time/wine in his hands :P [Red?]

8...Frank just do your grow and show it with your great photo/led gear............i'll watch and enjoy as always [I'll stick to the GFP program from now on. I've been moderating another community of forums with over 1.5M members for 10 years now, it takes a lot of time. Plus my work, my illness, and this grow, it's too much. And to be offered all this grief for speaking out about a bad experience is complete bullshit. Jeff keeps saying I lied, but he can't say which lies I am telling. I paid him 600$ for a service which he could only fulfill to 50% and then later wished me ill, insulted me, just because he didn't like my questions or my tone or whatever the fuck. For 600$ I expect you to STFU and answer my reasonable questions nicely, and all my questions were reasonable. Especially after you fucked up. I have the complete conversation archived in Gmail. If I posted this here, it would make everything clear. But we've already fallen to low levels of soap opera dramas the likes of which the business world has never seen I am sure. And it is so not worth it. I maintain my experience was negative and there's nothing morally outraging about this. Plus, SME is awesome.]
Cheers!

PS. Do tell about the wine ;)

EH: I am interested. Can you hook a brother up? PM me.

Frank: I also was looking at the SS800. Mostly because of the UVB option. Do you happen to know if the UVB runs at flower? As I looked at the spec it seems the switch makes that spectrum an option to switch on. I'd rather just have it running at flower if possible. Thanks for any info you might be able to provide.

It's an entirely different switch. There's a switch to choose veg or bloom, and another switch to turn uvb on and off.

Both UVB bulbs come packaged inidividually, so I didn't even install them, I just left them in their retail packaging to be used later. Makes no sense to run UVB at this stage, as you say.

Hey Frank. Not reading all the way back through the posts but I thought you were running the SS400. Have you done a run with an SS800 too? If so was it journaled?

Also it sounds like the UVB is a flouro not an LED array. Would that be correct?

Thanks

This grow is being done with SS400. SS800 are for the next tent. I didnt know how many plants Health Canada was going to allow me to grow back when I set this up. Now I know so I can go with a bigger tent and three SS800. I doubt I will journal it but if you want some documentation I could set up a google share and send you pics from time to time.

You're correct, the UVB are two fluo bulbs.

Hey Hyroot! The BK thing with CLW is a problem. I would want to be certain the company I buy from is going to be around should service be necessary. How substantial is your information. If it's just flotsam and jetsam innuendo than I apologize to CLW for even airing the question.

That SS800 is a beast. I was looking to see someone do a run with it. Perhaps you could run another thread on RIU. I'm sure I'm not the only one who would be interested in seeing how they perform.

I do have to hand it to you Frank. for a newbie you have certainly made the investment in lights that most beginners wouldn't have the resources to do. CLW is lucky to have you as a customer.

chaz I remember where i got that bk clw thing, I didn't read it. I was at green coast hydro and one of the owners was telling me that they might be acquiring clw soon. That was a few months ago. he told me a few more tidbits. thats how the hydro shops acquire all these companies. when they are in financial trouble or they owe the shop too much money and fork over the business. Thats how discount hydro acquired most of the hydropinic industry. Largest company in the industry.
