Favorite Strain for Concentrates

My grow situation is changing so I want to grow something different. I have a white widow pheno and a bubba pheno I been blasting for a while now. I don't get as good of flavor or yield results with widow then I do with the bubba. I have not made hash consistently from any other strains than these two.

I am curious what you guys here in the concentrate section of RIU may consider your favorite strain to make hash from. Flavor and potency are the most important to me, then yield.

Thanks everyone

Green crack(what I got now)...any diesel.. any sativa really
I don't really run "name brand" strains
But the candy grape or candy berry are great dab so are sour strains

Surprising the WW doesn't yield good. Trying to get my hands on some old school Hash Plant. Made great bubble with it a couple years ago now I can't find it anywhere. Amazing smell, taste, and yield. I miss that strain a lot

I only run named strains because the clones were the right price. I have looked into green crack and read somewhere that it has a good cbd count. I don't know anyone personally that runs it. I would like to get sour diesel but was curious how it waxed up.
I have grown BC hash plant back in the 90's it was pretty good but I never blasted it. The WW I have just isn't good but my wife enjoys it much more than bubba kush.
I'm going to have to read about this sweet black angel because some of the pics online look great.
I have always loved sativas but I always f them up indoors. I think I may try out some seed stock I have from a reputable breeder and choose my favorite pheno. I thought everyone may have a bias opinion to what they prefer

That's odd about your WW nme. I grew a few strains of WW this year [White Shark, WW, WW x Amnesia] & all were crystally, especially the WW x A. That's what anyone would expect from a WW, white with crystal. I suppose it goes to show that some strains aren't up to scratch.

I think it's fascinating how there's a difference in the hash depending on what type of bud used. Up to date I've only used crappy head & leaf, but next year I'm dedicating all of the small bud from my girls for oil. Hope I've found some suitable solvent by then.

So there's a difference in the hash depending whether it's an indica or sativa?

There's a big difference..indicas produce different types of terps and wax than sativas..the terps and waxes are all different and it does effect color harshness and the consistency of the oil..
Indicas generally pump out frost, much of that "extra" frost is simply harsh congestive waxes and flavorful terps from my experience indicas like to wax. Sativas generally give you a higher cannabinoid ratio

I recommend green crack or blue dream as classic sativas that aren't too racy with good flavor and a good medical standpoint..
I would check out some bodhi gear for the green crack and well I haven't come across a good blue dream, hso I guess?
My sour d is super oily and I love it for hash..its filled with light terps that leave scissor hash very oily..will actually clean my scissors after using, like a low weight solvent.....the oilyness will evaporate after a bit and leave you with supremely sticky taffy......not that great for wax or shatter, mine likes to be taffy.....but I also don't like to heat and alter the oil...

Super lemon haze is another good one..that lemon head taste is wonderful

As a result of what I've learnt here, Bodhi seeds are on my hit list. Sunshine Daydream for one, although it's always out of stock. Bodhi seem to have amazing & stable strains. But now Kase has got me wanting chocolope as well.
I'm surprised that more of the hash guys aren't trying more traditional hash plants, wouldn't it be well suited for making oil?

No..see the hash plants are like I was saying above...they are covered in frost but its teal congestive dark in color..and the flavor is usually darker muskier spicier, idk
But Sativas give a high I like good color and not much wax plus very bright flavors orange mango lemon lime to floral honeysuckle melons and light berries ie blueberry or marsh mellow type fruit loopy...I love sativa flavors
Traditional hash plants yield a lot better but aren't more potent

Mk ultra and snow cap are 2 others that have a real nice flavor and high..mk was piney for me and snowcap left the room smelling of dryer sheets(craziness)
If your wondering I have a friend who does grow actual genetics and I buy bud off him occasionally...

Bodhi is bomb.. unfortunately I haven't gotten to try any of it. I want sunshine daydream and mothers milk. Silver mountain should be special too and is limited......one day I'll be able to get seeds :(

Chocolope, jack the ripper, Jilly bean, all taste amazing for sativa

Definitely listen to qwiso and get some blue dream and green crack for your set up
Blue dream grows tall but yields like crazy
