Fasting and ganja

Hi RUI People,,
I know there are a few guys out there like me...who've tried to allow ganja to be a spiritual component in their lives. I was 18 when I started smoking pot...and it's been with me the whole way.

Later in my life, and deeply immersed in Terence McKenna madness and mushroom taking...it was revealed to me, in a trance, that cannabis sativa was my shamanic ally.

I am curious about the wandering Saddhus of India...what is there life like? What do they think about? How good is the ganja they smoke in their chillums?

So over the years, I've been on a search for the most spiritual and thought provoking weed. Have grown Lamsbread, Burmese sat, Haze, Willie Nelson, and so on...even some Satori. My search is over.

Last winter I grew some landrace sativas. Ace...Golden Tiger. The yield and high were nice and since I'm phasing out smoking, I did a QWET extraction on all of it. I can get a very lovely and deep sativa high with it...despite a large tolerance.

One more element comes into play. Recently my left hip started showing it's wear. In an effort to ease the load on my hip I decided to lose some weight. What works good for me is a fast...so I lose my appetite and don't even think about food.

The weight loss was going good and finally I realized I should check my ketones...5+ Some people don't mind how it makes you feel...others do. I like it and so kept on fasting and was feeling very light and energetic. A friend told me I was a tad hyper...unusual for me.

So night before last...I decided to take a whopping dose of my Thai/Malawi RSO. I had a very clear head and watched an Episode of How the Universe Works. Complex ideas were making sense and I was calm and serene. I meditated for awhile and my body boundaries dissolved...I was one with the universe. It was the most spiritual high I have had in 50 years.

My conclusion isn't quite formulated yet. It was trippy...almost like a psychedelic...but this was a marijuana high on top of a fast. I've never tried this with a different strain. Perhaps it's not so much strain related as it is dose related. But it's actually way cool that I now know exactly how to put myself into a deeply spiritual mental space chemically. I have done this twice now...and both times it was profound.

On my second fast...I was doing an insight meditation on the idea that all possible information exists on the surface of the universe...and all matter is a holographic representation of the information. This idea, it seemed to me, argues in favor of Religion. Wouldn't heaven and hell be little patches in the universal information field? The math would work. Theoretical Physicists confirming religion? I crack myself up.

I guess that'll do it,
JD

PS @New Age United I was thinking of you when I wrote this. This is worth doing.

I think you would enjoy the use of Shilajit! Its a compound of over 80+ Natural Enzymes, One of those holistic “diet supplements” (legally they must be labeled that way because holistic methods are seldom acceptable to the FDA.)
Not only does Shilajit decalcify your pineal gland, but its promotes an extremely spiritual high when teamed with Cannabis and fasting. Please do some research on the topic.

Thanks CountryFried,
I read a little...and truthfully I'm leary. It somehow can interact with certain metals in your body and it;s wildly expensive too.

I don't feel it's productive to use drugs for all meditations. Truly, in this, the old fashion way is better. But sometimes a little burst of eye opening...a mushroom trip, or a ganja thing like I did...it can give your meditations a little more vigor and concentration. Does for me.

So I guess this may be something I might do every couple of months...with some normal life in between. lol

Sure hope the hip is ok - lots of people getting replacements these days. I'm 59 with one semi-F'd hip. lol
I did the Master Cleanser dealio back in the 90's. But was not smoking much weed at the time.

I dig those Universe and Ancient times shows.
Accessing Akashic records would be awesome! Let me know if you get the keys to that castle of info.

From what I've learned, based on my own leg and foot injuries, a lot of our biomechanical health problems come from years of wearing improper footwear. Modern day footwear causes our bodies to try to adapt to having out heels unnaturally lifted, arches unnecessarily supported and our toes lifted and pointed inwards. What this does is dramatically alters the foundation that we use to mobilize ourselves. After years of our bodies accommodating and overcompensating for this kind of unnatural footwear, we start to develop biomechanical health problems including back pain, hip issues etc. Anyway, I just thought I should mention that to you, @JohnDee. I'm not saying that's where your hip issues come from but it certainly can't hurt to take it into consideration. If you're interested in more information, check out the learn section at naturalfootgear.com.

Thanks Just Be... sounds like you know a lot about biomechanics. So do I, so no worries there.

I was in a bad car wreck 25 years ago and I lost my right foot. Wearing a prosthesis causes me to shift weight to the good side. Not something I think about, it just happens. Very common for amputees to wear out the opposite hip. If I feel that there's a biomechanical inbalance in my gait...I get out my allen wrenches and fix it. lol

Ya Tint...one thing I found was that after watching the Universe series...and grokking on how weird it all is...well after that...the Ancient Aliens stuff doesn't seem so unlikely. lol

And I've been learning about hip surgery. There is a procedure they use on younger guys (under 60) called hip resurfacing. A less invasive surgery. I want to have it...but I waited too long. See an orthopedist now to discuss it...but go to a large medical center like a big teaching hospital...to make sure they do the resurfacing. You still qualify.
Cheers,
JD

I don't know a whole lot about biomechanics other than what I've learned from dealing with my own physical set backs. Sometimes I wish it was as easy as a few turns of the allen keys but it slows me down and reminds me to stop and smell the roses ..for lack of a better term.

I totally know what you mean...I spent almost 3 months in a wheelchair...trying to run my life while dealing with many obstacles. It certainly taught me patience. Made me a better grower. Hang in there man.

Thanks Bugeye, you too! And thanks for stopping in...you a seeker?

Yes, I’m a seeker. I’ve also been practicing meditation for about 1.5 years and very much enjoying it. I rarely incorporate ganja into my meditation unless it is a very light high. A little Kratom makes it easier for me to get to a deeply relaxed state so I do that occasionally. I wear an eye mask when I meditate and usually get quite a nice northern lights thing going, but so far I have not gotten a pineal gland activation response. Meditation always looked so boring to me so I have been surprised at how much I enjoy it.

Pleased to hear your practice is going well. Over the years I've been an experimentalist...always trying to get to a certain mental state using drugs. Used psychedelics lots as a young man...but too intense...so that was set aside. This was really my most successful ganja meditation...and I see no reason why I can't do it at will. Used to have a sensory deprivation tank...but that requires an entire wet plumbed room and 1000 pounds of Epsom salts. Fasting and rso is more compact. lol
