Fans failed!!

I have just planted my germinated seeds and 1 has sprouted through already (1 day in) but today my fans failed making my grow room temperature go to boiling point (well at least 45c), it has obviously made the sprouted seed wilt back to nothing and I have sorted the problem now, but do u think the seeds and sprout will be effected/recover or should I start again?
Help :-(

At 7 post here on RIU, I'd be ready to start again, ...lol you will be fine, question is ...how on earth did you get to 45c?

Germ them of a damp kitchen towel, on your modem, dvd player or some other 'gentle' heat, leave the 1000w Mh for later

My grow room is in a cold out building so thought I would be 'smart' and put a small heater in with the grow to keep the temp around the desired range, I didn't bank on my inlet and exhaust fans tripping out so the heater has been on all day with nothing cooling the small room. I am kicking my self as the germinated stage went better than expected for a 1st attempt but I will give them a few days and see. How long do u think it should take seeds to start sprouting threw the dirt if they are still ok?

I'm trying to germ short stuff auto 1 for over a week now, toughest germing for me for years, I suspect mine a very old and dodgy seeds but most photoperiodic cannabis plants germinate within 2-3 days a week or 2 at the latest, I feel it is a question of the age of the seeds rather than the specific strain, I'd keep the germing inside if possible for better returns even leave them, like I said above on a wet towel on a plate next to a warm electrical item

I doubt it. That's super fucking hot 45 deg, the hottest ive ever heard of in a grow room.

The little sprout has recoverd sitting up again now at least, she's a special 1 now. :-)

And what light do you have over these tender seeds?

Wow, it's good you dint burn your grow down.

Glad to hear they recovered.
Plants can take a lot of abuse when young.

I originally had a 600w hps light but swapped it for a cfl (unsure of wattage) but due to the cfl not putting out heat and my grow room being in a cold out building I put a small heater in that kicked out a lot more than I expected and also the inlet and exhaust fans tripped so it was crazy hot in there. Lesson learnt the hard way. 🙈
