Fan leaves look bitten but theres no bugs... pics included, please help

b.jpg1.jpg2.jpg3.jpg4.jpga.jpgc.jpgI just switched these into flowering 4 days ago. The indica plants (pics 1-4) have peices of the fan leaves missing, and one is gone right to the vain. I thought there was bugs so i used the doktor doom fogger, but i never actually saw any bugs.... Also the fan leaves of my sativas are starting to crinckle up and get all crusty and have brown spots on them. i've been having trouble getting humidity up past 10-20% (even with water in the room), but i dont know if thats why.

There about a month and a half old, grown in soil, ph is 6.4-6.5, temp is 75-80 when the lights on, 66-68 when its off. Following a water, water, feed routine with some technaflora and other nutes. There under a 1000 watt hps now.

Anyone got any clue as to whats going on? im starting to get worried. any help is much apprichiated, thanks
 
would you be able to take a few pics with the hps off....just for the pics so we could see the actual color difference and it would help to be able to help!

the tears just look almost like human err? like from fim , or sometimes when i pull on some of the leaves they will tear but still be fine...long as they are green....it looks damaged but it still looks green...the other few ...i'd need better pics too see what's up with the brown crispy leaves...
 
That wasn't an insect that did the damage. It was an animal. I thought it was obvious from the pictures that the leaves have been chewed on....
 
Possible light burn. How far away? I don't think it is stressing your plants very much so probably shouldn't affect final yield at any stretch.
 
Thanks everyone, il get more pics posted without the light on asap. I keep the light roughly 50 cm away from the tops, adjusting when i need to. I was also thinking light burn, but there wasn't any burn marks so i was unsure . And it's definitely not animal bites, as the only animal in the house is a great dane and he cant get in the room. And if he could there would be alot more damage than that lol :P.
 
well maybe it was a bug since no further obvious leaf damage that you can see. i once had huge chunks a leaf missing looked for bugs for days and days... eventually i found a caterpillar on a branch very hard to notice because it had turned the same color of the plants from eating so much of them, but luckily maybe that was it an u resolved it... good luck good grow
 
Was there brown spot before the tear or hole was there? Or was it fine and then there was a hole all of a sudden? I gotta run out, but could be the difference in a plant problem and a bug problem. I've had holes and spent a lot of time looking for bugs when it was my own growing fouls

You'd be able to see remnants of the dead areas surrounding the hole if it browned first.... Those leaves were chewed on. I have a cat and he leaves my leaves looking like that once in awhile. It looks EXACTLY like that.

I'd have a hard time believing it wasn't an animal. He may not have a cat, but he has a pet.... I'm almost sure of it.. :)
 
No the brown spots are actually on different plants than the ones with holes. Il have to look for bugs very closely but I really don't think there's any. And I'm not trying to be an idiot but can we spot suggesting pets. I only have a great Dane and he can't get in the room... It's impossible. And if he could those plants would be gone lol. I'd just like to get this figured out invade it gets worse
 
Well of course it is cat damage...a white one with green eyes named "Miss Fluffy" LOL. A 1000 watter at 50cm away is a tad close but certainly not excessive. Environmental stresses/damage can often mimic insect activity. Skeletonizing insects such as caterpillars eat the leaves from the edges in, leaving the leaf veins intact. They also leave behind tell-tale evidence in the form of "frass" or excrement that is pretty easy to see. Whatever the cause this is minor injury at worst. The plant looks healthy and robust so I wouldn't sweat it much unless you see this damage on new growth or it becomes widespread.
 
i had that same shit happened.at first i thought it was flies eating my plants.now,idk.but it was the week two of veg.stage..now im in week five and no problems so i dont think its bugs because i didnt fogg ,spray,treat for bugs .. focus on ventilation and low heat,fixed my problem..
