Its a 240 cfm Free air duct fan. Whenever i put my insulated duct on it seems like the air is blowing backwards into my room instead of out like it does normally.

ah, something is not right.

its not Completely blowing backwards, its like air is coming out of the wrong end though lol.

Is it because I dont have my duct cut at all. I still have it in the 25 ft roll, i guess i shoulda mentioned that and ill probably be laughed off the forum now lol.

Id expect it to just flow through the 25 ft of duct but what do i know.

I didnt wanna cut it if it wasnt gonna work good though. I cant find any hangers or any worm clamps to fit around the duct though lol. 7 inch is too big when tightened down, it still pulls off and 6 inch wont reach.

you arent getting proper flow through your ducting and it is causing back pressure so it is making your air come back in instead of going out, you need to increase the diameter of your ducting or is you have a number of sharp turns in your ducting you need to straighten it out some so the air can flow through more directly. ok.... you definitely need to shorten it some as well if at all possible

Ok i thought it was back pressure. Probably due to it being 25 ft lol.

Im gonna cut it soon as my cousin comes over. Should I clamp the inside duct or around the insulation also?

couldnt hurt.... as long as you dont have alot of bends and there is nothing blocking flow or restricting it in any way you should be ok with just cutting it a little shorter to get rid of the back pressure

Ok, should I clamp the inner duct? Or over the insulation?
