Fairfax four way

It was definitely special in the late 90s early 2000s

The Four way from sensi when it was released in the 90’s was sk#xnl#5xhazexruderalis. This was on the label in 95. We obtained seeds in 96&97of four way and the label just said four way. All the tales you hear of It’s quality are true.
Skunky beyond belief and had a strong buzz for the mid 90’s. Only nl#5xhaze was close.

It didnt contain that sensis four way is north indian x afghan x Pakistan x skunk1 there no haze or ruderalis in it your thinking of nirvanas one same name different lines all together and the fair fax was from old sensi stock

The land race description came later in the early 2000.

That nirvana was probably the knock off of the one I’m talking about. The description is a knockoff of the old description.

Old Skunk1 and haze can both bring the catpiss its not just haze alone and sensis never had any haze in it hell you want catpiss skunk try some fms skunk special theres plenty of those phenos in there and you can see for yourself its not only haze that has it even some ghani lines can hold it too thats why theres more than one catpiss cuts out there as well

Some of theres was but some of there lines or versions they also made there self not everything they sold was straight f2s only some of it nirvanas 4way is a different line from sensis one

The Ohio cut is not the same. No cat piss smell in the Fairfax.

The fairfax was straight skunk spray smell and the plants grew very short and squat. No burnt rubber like the OGs. It’s was all we got in the DMV in the mid to late 90s. The high times article I linked above is dead on my experience with it. I grew up in the county next door to Fairfax county where the cut came from and had several friends that used to sling it back in the day.

The predominant smell in the Ohio four way was skunk. In the days before carbon filters I was hard to hide. If you ask those Fairfax boys about their cut I bet it came from sensi in the mid 90’s.
I’m not here to talk shit but I literally ran a cut of four way from 1995 to 2009. When I look at me bob hemphill ‘s photos I know that is the same strain. You’re correct about it’s squat nature.

It came from Sensi. I linked the High Times article above that goes into detail about it. I also grew an S1 bag seed of it in the early 2000's. The smell was something else. Pip from Souvenir Seeds used the Ohio cut in his recent work. Hemphill did a few releases with it. I have grown a Riot seeds version that was FFX 4way x Blue Bonnet. But the few I grew came out mostly blueberry. I think Duke Diamond may have worked with it as well. I have debated buying the Sensi Euro version just to see if it grows anything like what I remember.

The high times article goes into how rare the Pheno was of that particular skunked out 4way. I often wonder if nostalgia and my memory play a large part in how I remember the smell of that plant. Now that we're legal I've grown some loud af things from a variety of breeders. In terms of effect I think a lot of modern cannabis is on the level as the older stuff. We just have more choice now. But that's just my 2cents.

It’s been great comparing notes. I’ve been at it a long time and have gone from coast to coast growing. Back in the early nineties sensi was the one at the top of their game. Also always was a fan of nl5 haze from that time period too.

For sure nl5 haze was good stuff idk if it be the same now though from them

Guy up on Blue Mountain is and has been growing the real ffx4way for many years. I smoked it with the guy a few times years ago down on the River at the Island, but never actually was friends with him. Although my buddy knows him and got some from him last week. Problem is, #1 he won't part with a cut and #2 he grows an old widow too and when he sells his weed he mixes the ffax4way with the widow so you have to pick through the bag to find the 4way buds. I just don't have time for his nonsense, but I also have a line on a guy in Strasburg that is supposed to have it and we are going to check it out. I inadvertently know this guy, but it is from the horse sales and not weed, so we shall see how this goes. I'll report back after the first Friday of the month in April. That is when the sales are.

100% the strain started from seeds sent from Europe. Germany if I remember correctly. No cat piss smell. You could smell it from a block away. Some buds were big as a baseball bat and would almost stick to the wall. Grew easily and did not need much attention. No longer available. Was fun while it lasted

So, although the guy from Strasbourg weed is good. It is NOT the ffax4way. I'm thinking the guy on Blue Mountain is the only one around that has the real deal and he is not going to part with it.
So, onto bigger and better things!O
