What is the best way to keep my water temp low. Its at about 83 degrees. The room is sorta warm (next to the garage) should it be this high? or should i move it away from the garage and into an actual room?

Dude, you've got a thermostat? Find out what results work best, which temps grow the fastest. The average temp might be in the manuel(get you started).

I actually built my own....so im guessing my room temp is kinda warm because when im in my room or living room, its a bit cooler.

Hmm. If your trying to keep your water cooler look into a stronger exhaust fan(its probably the light warming it up the most). Also I think more air bubbles will cool your res up a bit too.
