I have been trying a hybrid DWC + Aero sprayer setup instead of the waterfarm DWC+drip that i am used to..
My 1st impressions are:
1) leaving a pump in the rez really cranks up the rez temps to way beyond DWC acceptable temps...
2) damn those sprayers clog all the time.
my fixes for the problems are as follows:
1) I now run a 2 totebox RDWC setup for each planter. The 2nd box is OUTSIDE the tent with a return hose from the bottom of the inside box to the bottom of the outside box, letting gravity balance the water level of the two boxes. The pump is in the outside box and runs to the Aero sprayers on the inside box filling the inside box, causing return to outside box.
2) I have the PVC tubing on the outside of the top of the inside box with 9 holes drilled around the sides and corners, with one in the middle... there is a pvc stem that goes down into the box with holes drilled to affix sprayer nozzles that end up surrounding the 6" net pots.
**** Here is my question for you Aero gardeners... ****
I was thinking of just leaving the holes the way they were and not bothering putting the misters on and just letting it squirt out onto the pots directly...

is there some reason the EZ cloner misters are significantly better than a direct stream of water at very low pressures?
