unbelievable . i cant believe people are so stupid. exxon earns around 8 cent a gallon on a gallon of gas sold. they have to pay for the cost of the employees to transport the fuel , sale the fuel. drill for the fuel refine it. all the logistics involved in the whole dam process..the local state and federal government steals 65cent a gallon ..in some cases alot more. and pays no one to deliver the product employees no one but IRS agents to loot companys with..that is their only expense in gathering up 65 plus cents a gallon in revenue.
NO CO are not getting out of paying tax..and AND CORPS pass the expense onto the consumer . YOU.
YOU THE CONSUMER PAYS ALL THE TAX'S THAT RUN THIS COUNTRY..AND SEEING AS HOW THERE ARE ALOT MORE POOR PEOPLE THAN RICH ONES EVEN THOUGH IT DOES NOT SHOW UP ON THE W2 .YOU DUMMYS THAT CHEER THE TAXATION OF ANY CORP OR ANY INDIVIDUAL ARE TAXING YOURSELF ..the consumer .
tax's like this and the VAT. are very regressive..actually all tax's are regressive . the share of the burden of tax's falls most heavy on the heads of the poor. why? because the extra costs in added product fees added due to tax's consumes MORE percentage of their income than it would someone who is wealthy.

Cracker I totally understand what you saying about risk and op cost -vs- profits....my point is simple theses freak-in companies need to pay taxes on whatever profit is made. Companies are using tax loopholes, shelters and other shell games to get out of paying taxes..Did you know two out of three U.S. Corporations paid no taxes from 1998-2005... http://www.nytimes.com/2008/08/13/business/13tax.html?_r=2 .... WTF What if we all just said phuck it and no one paid taxes anymore...picture this country like that....
done...phuck it !

Since 47% of the country now pays nothing and yet gets to vote (for more taxes on OTHER ppl)....
London actually stumbled onto a point. Will wonders never cease..... but he has to be told.... ....else he'd never know it.

Why post on something you clearly don't understand.

This thread started out with an incorrect premise, and despite being shown in a very SIMPLE manner.... no improvement in the analysis by "progressives" has occurred. I'm shocked!!!! Uhh, no I'm not. Totally predictable.

Trash pickup is on Thursday guys....don't be late and don't bang the cans on the road.

I kinda feel they should not have to pay taxes due to their small profit
I mean these are people that are proabaly hard working or atleast worked hard to get where they are (maybe, maybe not im being nice)
but regardless its a company doing its thing and giving jobs to people and helping atleast. As someone said about the 1 trillion dollars+ spent by
the government that pisses me off because that money has not done much of anything everyone thinks obama is the best thing ever because he
reads his memorized speech someone wrote for him full of false promises and telling the country what we want to hear.
ooo im rambling
but im stoned and thats my 2 cents on tax money.
O and please dont flame me if somethings wrong im 17
and not a political analyst haha :D

Everyone who is successful works hard at it. Very very few just have it handed to them...

So the op 5% of wage EARNERS pay the majority of the taxes right now..... so tell me...how much weight can the top earners carry before they either quit or move. You can't pull a wagon with a dead horse.

I can't remember the movie, but it took place in the past and this Dad and his son pull up to a poor neighborhood. Dad had shot a Turkey and was selling it. The winning bid was a quarter made by a woman the Dad knew. The son asked the Dad why he just didn't GIVE the turkey to the winner. It was only a quarter after all.....
His Dad WISELY said, "Oh no son, that turkey will taste much better to her because she paid for it".....lesson learned right there. Something Obama is oblivious to.

See, this is exactly the kind of thing I was talking about in my thread about "both sides."

Rational, informed people understand that media outlets such as those publishing this stuff are in the business of keeping their readers reading. So, they do what is called "sensationalizing." That is your new word for the day. All they are doing is taking something that has a modicum of truth and monumentally exaggerating and distorting it.

Rational, informed people understand that it is beyond outrageous to claim that Corporations that earn billions in profit pay no income tax. Do they have all sorts of ways of lessoning their tax burden? Of course they do. After all we are talking about billions of tax dollars and a tax code that hits them with double taxation - of course they try to take advantage of any loopholes.

Has anyone ever wondered if lessoning their tax burden in the first place might make such measures unnecessary? Probably not.

At any rate, the tax codes for huge multinational corporations is very complex and only a moron would believe that there are huge multinational corporations earning tens of billions and not paying any taxes. Those media outlets publish that crap because it keeps these same morons consuming their product.

I actually own a corporation (albeit a much smaller one) but I can tell you that we pay additional taxes tat the employees don't. In fact, I must match what my employees pay for state and Medicaid. And I pay into unemployment and workman's comp as well. I also pay tax on every asset my business owns each year as well as property tax on my building. And in MI there used to be a single business tax that was 1% of your gross weather you made or lost money.

Get a clue people, stuff like that isn't real, it is nothing but red meat for radical morons.
