Extraction Too Powerful for Tent...

Recently purchased a budbox xxl and 2 600w mh/hps, the intake i'm using is a cheap budget 4", while the extraction is a ruck 6" 725m3/hour.

I don't have the carbon filter yet (which will be a rhino pro filter) and when the tent was closed and everything was on, as soon as the fan powered up all the wall of the tent were sucked in a bit.

Was just wondering if anyone knew if after adding the carbon filter maybe it will be ok?

I'm not sure if the fan was extracting too much air that it would cause damage, but i dont wanna leave it on and come back with an imploded tent.. any ideas?

Cheers :)

yea the c filter will restrict the air flow a bit, decreasing the effective power of the original pressure, but it might still suck in ur walls

hey man, remove that intake fan make bigger holes for passive intake, that's how to do it right, actually if you place the intake fan as a 2rd exhaust, you will be venting much better than by placing intake and exhaust, just make bigger passive intake holes

Hmmm wouldn't the smell get out if there was passive intake? And also what about light coming in during the dark period, with the ducting in the hole the tent is lightproof, and there is an adjustable sock but i'd have to have it wide open for passive :(

Cheers

Edit - the tent has 2 fairly large passive intake vents, i opened them and the sides were still sucking in, but they are obstructed by walls

i always find ways to intake passively and prevent light, might be harder in a tent, i grow in boxes, i dont make ducts for it, rather long cracks with black paint below the table where my plants are grown.

That's generally a good thing, as long as it isn't too extreme. You want to maintain negative pressure in there, which you can see by the walls being vacuumed in a bit. And as long as your exhaust fan is running 24/7, and you maintain negative pressure, no odor will escape a passive intake.

Keep in mind that you want to see those tent walls sucked in a little.
It's a good sign of negative pressure.
I keep 2 flaps open on my HomeBox tent for passive intake.
I also use these thick inexpensive AC filters on the outside of the flaps, just leaning against the tent.
The negative pressure keeps them stuck to the tent too.
You'd be surprised at the filth I rinse off of them every 2 - 4 weeks.
Air dry in tub for a few minutes and replace.
Due to it being so efficient for MY set up, I don't even use the glass lens cover on my air-cooled 6 inch hood let alone actively cool it.
Temps stay around 79F/80F with my 400w Hortilux; max 83F when it's 102F outside.
6 inch Can Fan sits on top of my tent and extracts STRAIGHT up into attic with NO bends for 100% 279 CFM's is the BIG, BIG reason.
Tent is 32 x 32 x 63 inches (LxWxH) by the way, and gives me 8+ ounce DRY yields with 1 to 3 plants.
