Extra lighting?

I've had 2 plants growing outside in a pot for about 3 or so weeks. They're about 8" tall right now and growing bigger each day. I was wondering if it would be ok to bring them inside for some extra light once the sun starts setting?

All i have for now is a fleurescent light to use. It's not much, but its all i have at the moment. Any suggestions on something pretty affordable? im planning on stopping by walmart or something tomorrow. any help would be greatly appreciated!

hmm buy lots of 42 watt cfls. its my best guess. i grow my 3 plants with 8 cfls. there growing great plus i got 2 900 lumens.

yeah the plants have been under the light for a few and theyre not as 'perky' as they would be if they were outside in the sun.

would a better light have a dramatical effect on them??

Most modern homes have 8 foot ceilings. Do you have a vaulted ceiling or at least an older home with 12 foot ceilings?

An eight foot outdoor plant and this time of year, why not just let it flower?

im in san diego so growing outside whenever isn't really an issue, at least not till nov. or so when it starts to rain. and they're 8 inches lol

DOH!!!:blsmoke::mrgreen: sorry man, misread, thought they were 8 feet.

" = inches
' = feet

And to think I have a construction background.

hehe no worries. so yeah, im probably gonna grow to 2-4' before i start flowering and i kinda wanna hurry the process by bringing them indoors during the evening hours. I plan out purchasing some sort of lighting tomorrow for it.

some sort of lighting would be some 42 watt cfls right? Dont bother buying tubes of any sort. go for the cfls id day 8 at least. mine are all hanging in my closet over my 3 beauties. ^.^
