I was considering converting my attic to a growroom. I do not have any electrical outlets up there, and i was wondering if a 100 foot extention cord will diminish the light output. Thanks in advance for your replies :joint:

the longer thecord the more the fire hazard.

using more power in turn conveys more heat.

fineif your using cfls or tubes.

LOL you spel like me.

If you do hook everything up. Feel the cord, if it hot then unhook everything. How come you don't go down to home-depot and but a thing of wire and wire you up a socket up there?

Geez, you guys kill me. Get a heavy duty, outdoor-rated extension cord that is good for 15 amps, and as long as you put only 12 amps on it, Bob's your Uncle.

HTH

don't they have wireless power. sshhheeesssshhhh it's 2007 come on.

fdd, wireless power was experimented with in the early 1900's by Nikola Tesla. It doesn't work.

Potroast is right. Get a good heavy duty (12awg minimum) cord and you'll be fine as long as you don't exceed around 12 amps.
